Good pay nice co-workers
Answered November 23, 2019
Departments need to be given the correct hours for the partners to be able to finish tasks without killing themselves. No overtime is fine. But when the work is more than is possible for one person to accomplish. That's when you burn out the worker and the work suffers.

Does H.E.B drug test ?
Asked June 8, 2016
Yes, they do. If you get injured at work and need go to the med clinic they will drug test you and they will do their best to not take responsibility for your injury. Be very careful.

I just got back from a group interview at HEB and if you don't like public speaking or speaking in front of a group of people you may not do well. It seemed like they were judging you based on your ability to put on a show for them rather than your experience or ability to do the job. I applied for the in store shopper position and have experience doing that same thing at my previous job and I actually enjoyed it but apparently that's not good enough for HEB.

Does H.E.B pay weekly?
Asked April 27, 2016
Yes H.E.B pay weekly.
Answered April 27, 2016
Either being sent home due to poor scheduling and being overstaffed for labor, or being called in/staying late due to understaffing, often caused by the prior statement. Occasionally there's a day where we are good on labor and things go smoothly.

There is a club of long term employees 18 to 34 years as a new employee you pull all the hard jobs bad shifts hot nasty jobs, they are immune to it and can cruise through the shift without working at all they have benefits retirement great pay and can't be fired i saw lots of theft kickbacks and privilege but I just gave everything every day and finally was injured refused medical services then fired. I am now Thankful I got away from the trap it felt like prison 10 hours a day horrible experience at HEB wherehouse in San Marcos.

The schedule is never set, every week will be different, different days off and such. If you call in its severely frowned upon & repercussions would happen later.

I just had a interview today. The hiring mananger was helpful in answering any questions I had. Including it can take from 2 days - 2 weeks for a complete background check.

Law in Texas says the employer can only go back 7 years. Yes, there are some exceptions to the seven-year background check rule. Some exceptions include:Jobs with a salary that exceeds $75,000*Jobs with an insurance agency*Jobs that involve residential deliveries or in-home services (such as plumbers, utility workers, delivery drivers, etc.)*Instances when the employer runs a person’s background internally, rather than working with an outside agency
