Assembler II (Former Employee) – Noblesville, IN – August 20, 2018
Everyday is different as far as challenges. The co-workers and management are pleasant to work with. If you were in charge, what would you do to. Programs really make a difference in the real job world experience.
Assembler I (Former Employee) – Noblesvile, IN – January 4, 2018
* Very high turnover. * No training. * Forced overtime. * No leadership. * Poor quality. * Unrealistic quotas. * Lots of buzzwords. * Helmer loves to replace your breaks with useless meetings. * Raises are not guaranteed and should not be expected.
Refrigeration Specialist (Former Employee) – Noblesville, IN – November 17, 2017
management is in denial company has established bonuses based on units shipped quality has deteriorated over the last three years. Management rarely does what they say they will do. Back stabbing and focus on management by fear and intimidation.
Accounting Internship (Former Employee) – Noblesville, IN – May 22, 2017
Helmer did help jumpstart my career. It was a great place to work. My coworkers were great to work with. While at Helmer, I built within me the importance of teamwork. That experience has help propelled me.
Assembler (Former Employee) – Noblesville, IN – January 27, 2017
You will stay busy and they typically do not get enough employees to handle the work load. Their expectations are above standard while the pay is a little low, benefits were going down when I worked here. I enjoyed the people most of the time. The work environment is climate controlled.
Sometimes provided lunch
wages and benifits were being eroded while production was being boosted
Assembly Associate (Former Employee) – Noblesville, IN – December 7, 2016
A typical day included the assembly of various cooling unit for medical purposes. Workers were very kind, and worked very hard! The workers were most enjoyable, the heating of the building made working tougher on some days.
HR (Current Employee) – Noblesville, IN – March 29, 2016
Helmer is a great company where you can drive your own career while making a difference for others through the products the company creates and/or by serving the community. The management team frequently asks for improvement suggestions and acts on the feedback. People are friendly and highly collaborative. It's a fast paced, fun environment.
Education assistance program pays upfront for education and there are other grant programs too.
Health insurance benefits are average. 401k is exceptional!
Fabrication Technician (Former Employee) – Noblesville, IN – October 18, 2015
Very high turn over rate. The company claims to be family friendly, and care about employees, but it's all just lipstick on a pig. Hazordous working conditions due to aluminum and galvanized dust. Galvinzed welding in the fab area gives off toxic fumes. The laser dust coats everything, like your lungs. Management makes poor decisions, and employees are the ones who pay the price with non-stop mandatory overtime, miserable health benefits, and empty promises. If you don't have a life, and don't mind slaving for a company like a machine...you may be happy.
early vacation days, easy attendance policy
management is self serving, very high employee turnover
Intern (Former Employee) – Noblesville, IN – August 29, 2015
Helmer is really fun and fast forward place to work. They have so much to do, there is always someone doing something, and they really produce a great product. Even hard days were made easier by the talkative faculty, funny stories and planned activities. I would recommend people to work there but most of all I want to work there. They have a workout room with good benefits outside of the workplace. In all ways, Helmer is better than great.
Nice workout room, nice break room. nice work place.
Master Assembler (Former Employee) – Noblesville IN – February 2, 2015
Things ran pretty good until new production management came in and started slashing jobs and terminating people. the company lost two wrongful termination law suits in 2014. and had issues concerning its promotion practices.
In management your job is safe, in Production your expendable
