Intern (Current Employee) – Canton, OH – January 29, 2019
Hendrickson is a great place to work with management that is great, very understanding and flexible. The pay is competitive and the benefits are good. There is a great company culture and the day to day work is rewarding.
END OF THE LINE PAINTER /INSPECTOR (Former Employee) – Clarksville, TN – January 13, 2019
Hendrickson was a very fun and nice place of business. The management team was good but it could have been a little bit better. I enjoyed working with the older crew than the younger because they played a lot.
I just started there this week...free coffee..free fruit...clean restrooms..pay is outstanding...pension...vacation days..holiday pay..great lunches..great insurance..job security, the company is the best in its field..the customer demand is unbelievable..everything is made from scratch...not much out sourcing..founded in 1918..American made..American Quality...this company treats their employees extremely well..The atmosphere is upbeat...fun..you can play any music you want while you work..its what our forefathers faught so hard to attain...a job you can be proud of.

You rotate assembly positions every 5 weeks so that you are able to perform all positions and it keeps you from getting bored. the normal work week is Monday tho Friday with weekends being over time and optional One of the hardest parts of the job was the fact that rules changed daily. you only receive paid holidays and benefits if you are hired in at a full time position. when you are placed as a temp. you have the impression that you will become full time.
Monday through Friday work schedule
you don't get credit for your work or perks unless you are full time
Production Worker (Current Employee) – Lebanon,ky – August 23, 2018
Poor management. Used to be highest paid factory in town. Now you can work at other places and make more money. They started a pay tier system that has screwed over everybody. If your a quality worker go somewhere else.
PACKER (Current Employee) – Kendallville, IN – August 14, 2018
Toxic work environment, Management team believes they are better than everyone. Very hard to fix problems when no one takes consideration of individuals doing the job. Management relies too much on numbers and not experienced operators.
not many weekends worked, holidays off
militant management style, favortisim with employees, not willing to fix major issues on the floor
Excellent place to get experience. you learn a lot. a typical day starts with checking your yesterdays work. the manager makes sure you get enough work to keep you busy, i don't think you can ever get free time at work.
Packer (Current Employee) – Kendallville, IN – April 14, 2018
Fun place to work in 2013. Downhill since then. Poor management everywhere top to bottom. Favoritism is rampant and equal pay for equal work is nonexistent. Low starting wage takes ten years to get top pay. Turnover rate is ridiculous for a so called world class facility.
Assembly Line Leader (Former Employee) – Clarksville, TN – April 6, 2018
Great company to work for. They are the undisputed leader of their industry so work is steady. Great culture. They allow music on the shop floor (reasonable volume and radio edited). Straight 8 shifts. NO MANDATORY OVERTIME. Instead, they choose to offer time and a half over 40 and double time over 50. 11 paid holidays a year. 2 weeks vacation per year (pro rated first year). 3 weeks after 5 years.
PAINTER (Former Employee) – Lebanon, IN – March 30, 2018
I worked there for over 5 years before I left. I need up coming back 2 years later and it has really taken a nose dive. Granted they are going through a lot of in house expansion an construction. So hopefully once thats all done it'll be back to being an great place to work at. even if the salary is low for the hard work that is required.
Great fair place to work.
Not enough pay and benefits for the work required.
