Global Manager of Instructional Design (Current Employee) – Chicago, IL – March 25, 2018
Quarterly announcements of centralization to remote areas in India, making for an unstable, stressful work environment. Overall work environment is fine but budgets and jobs announced quarterly is stressful.
Work is pretty steady with occasional big push times. Learned lots of quality. Best part of job was the team- but this is dependent upon managers. I had a good manager that was able to balance the needs of company with the needs of the employee. The threat of restructuring or "transformation" looms large in the company. That said- HERE is morphing from location services/map company to a technology company rapidly.
Program Manager (Current Employee) – Chicago, IL – March 14, 2018
Nothing thought out as far as the Leadership team and strategies. No career advancements The only ones impressed with the leadership team is themselves. Poor management Benefit cuts one after the other
QUALITY MANAGER I AND II (Former Employee) – Fargo, ND – March 13, 2018
A company focused on trying to be innovative while dealing with propriety software that was not built in such a way that it can easily adapt and change with the current times. This makes it difficult to compete yet the company has so much institutional knowledge.
Work there could sometimes be repetitive, but sometimes challenging. The management was decent, would trust an employee to finish their work with little supervision. Advancement was difficult and seemed to go to favored employees. Culture had really declined in the years that I worked there due to rounds of layoffs, the company being bought and sold multiple times, unnecessary name changes, and the constant worry that you could be let go at any time.
Great benefits and good salary. You can choose your level of involvement. Opportunities to collaborate with Career advancement dependent on office location. Upper level management and company direction in flux recently. Company is competing with the biggest companies in the world (Apple, Google, Amazon, etc.).
Senior GIS Data Engineer (Former Employee) – Fargo, ND – January 29, 2018
Very fortunate to have part of a really cool enterprise. I could not have asked or thought up of a better job! Very flexible. Awesome benefits. Collaborated with colleagues from around the world! How cool is that!!! Had the opportunity to learn a whole new skill set. This was the best position I ever had.
Over the years, this has been a good company with opportunities for growth and changes in roles. It was exciting to work toward improving and expanding our products. We had opportunities to work with colleagues all over the world. Many changes in company leadership and ownership, and changing vision created challenges.
Great benefits, time off policies, workplace culture
