In my experience, HPE talked about work-life balance; but working much more than a 40-hour work week was expected in my group. Within a few months of indicating the group was properly staffed for our workload, several rounds of WFRs took place reducing staff by ~40% without any reduction in workload.

Working hours, I am looking for a full time position which will include 40 plus hours a week of work including travel requirements.
Norfolk has been in mandatory overtime since June 2016 extra 2 hours added to your shift and they draft you for weekend shifts. Work life balance non existent and they want to know why people leave.
Perfect hours with flexible times. The main goal is to get the job done right.

Depends on job/role/direct management and above; My experience? Frequent 24x7 oncall w/no compensation PLUS some grave yard weekend shift work (again, no extra compensation); They will take all the time you given them most times w/o any acknowledgement, it's "expected". Nature of the beast.
Mandatory overtime up to six hours per week. if you are sick you have to make the time up within a week.
