Senior Land Tech (Former Employee) – Houston, TX – November 13, 2018
It was a great learning experiences as you were to treat your job as if you owned it. which I liked. But management was terrible as there was no direction on how things should be handled if you were doing something that the company did not like.
CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN (Current Employee) – Zapata, TX – June 18, 2018
It is a good company to work for only that management is way to young and have different ideas. A typical day at work is a lot of running around which I liked very much. hardest part of the job trying to understand why we had ops manager changed every six to eight month. And the most enjoyable part of the job was the being out on the field doing repairs with a good crew.
Farmington (Former Employee) – Farmington, NM – April 13, 2018
If you like making money while being treated extremely poor this is the place to be. Communication, professional management, area knowledge is non existent. Nothing against a hard and honest days work but what they put you through and the disrespectful manner in which they do it is not worth the cut in pay.
Great place to work and would like the opportunity to work there full time.
Front Desk Receptionist (Temp) (Former Employee) – Farmington, NM – April 9, 2018
Very professional atmosphere. Everyone was very helpful and considerate of my being a temporary employee. Working conditions were outstanding. The most enjoyable part of the job was greeting visitors and interacting with clients waiting for appointments.
Land File Clerk (Former Employee) – Houston, TX – April 3, 2018
I was hired as a contractor enjoyed my time and experience there would definitely go back if my supervisor was there. If contractors that work hard were actually offered full time permanent positions in a timely manner or were given better benefits that would be awesome.
Consultant (Former Employee) – Houston, TX – September 6, 2017
This was a contract position that lasted 1.5 years. Excellent company tremendous work ethics and comradery. Could not say enough positive about this company. Work is intense but that is the nature of the oil and gas industry. My job was primarily focused on asset management and production enhancement. learned a lot.
Field Intern (Current Employee) – Houston, TX – July 4, 2017
Hilcorp Energy Company always strives for excellence and safety. Being very results-oriented, the company may seem strict, but it's only because they want to reach their goals. Everyone is very nice and the work culture is centered around balancing work and family. Overall an awesome company to work for.
Geologist (Former Employee) – Houston, TX – March 17, 2017
Hilcorp Energy is an excellent place to work. While working their it seems like a family where everybody cared about their work and other peoples work. I felt the management extremely supportive of their employees. They also rewarded ALL employees very well for success.
