Exciting opportunities to learn and be exposed to emerging technology and culture. But kind of like living in a reality TV show. Go with the flow, don't buy any green bananas.

Verizon agency
Production Manager (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 2, 2018
HH lived and died with Verizon. They grew the business until Verizon could not afford the hourly rate of the HH employees so they took the operations business to another agency and HH let
many people go.
Pros
Great employee events
Cons
Relied on one client too much

Intern
Account Management Intern (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAFebruary 2, 2018
Interning was fun, I had a cool manager so I was lucky. Some people got mean managers from what I heard. I enjoyed working there and found it useful because it helped me realize I didn't want to work in that industry. What I got from the industry is that people are switching agencies a lot in order to get raises because they are so underpaid and overworked. Its kind of stressful because if a client doesn't want to work with the agency anymore that team is either fired or put into new accounts. So no job security really.
Pros
Professional work environment
Cons
No job security, overworked and underpaid

Hill Holliday is a fantastic place to work as an intern as it gives you opportunities to learn and grow in advertising while doing real work. The teams at Hill are very inclusive and it is very easy to get used to.

Staff Accountant (Current Employee) –  Boston, MADecember 11, 2017
Good place to work, however, it is a volatile industry. Usually understaffed and lack of IT experience in the department. Many of the software used there has problems daily.

Senior Support Specialist (Former Employee) –  Boston, MADecember 1, 2017
For the most part Hill Holliday is a very fun hip place to work. The culture is very relaxed and chill with tons of young professionals working hard for that next pitch. You will be worked hard however and expect many late nights at the office. However when HH parties they party hard and make sure employees have a great time. However they have a diversity issue that I feel needs to be addressed.

Account Executive (Former Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 27, 2017
I was at Hill Holliday for three years and loved it. Small agency that let you really understand the production process and sink your teeth into all aspects of advertising. Nice people. Nice work. Nice Agency.
Pros
Friendly people. No ego.
Cons
I didn't have any.

Experience Designer (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAOctober 18, 2017
Terrible management and cutthroat environment for low pay. This is a great company for those who have no work experience and are getting their feet wet coming out of college. For someone who has experience and is just joining the company, it's apparent how they dilute their employee's salaries by putting them through long hours 50+/wk
Pros
Working along creative people
Cons
They lack diversity and competitive wages

E.V.P. Director of Integrated Production (Former Employee) –  Boston, MASeptember 27, 2017
Not a progressive view of the industry. Lack of communication leads to the same mistakes made repeatedly, Changing the culture from operational to creative virtually impossible.

the work environment is fun and creative and vibrant, I love that the company is constantly trying to find ways to show their employees that they value them and appreciate their hard works, with company parties, and happy hours, and guest artists to perform

This was a very fun and vibrant place to work. The energy when you walked in the door in the morning was very lively and welcoming. There was never a dull moment in this establishment.
Pros
Networking, Frequent snacks
Cons
Sometimes we wouldn't get a lot of mail, so there wouldn't very much to do.

Not much room for advancement, work hours can get crazy. The company parties are fun but they don't really make up for the craziness that goes on during the work week.

Researcher (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAMarch 10, 2017
Working hear is what you make of it. Usually 9-5 is a typical day here but sometimes you have to go over time to get the job done. Majority of the time you will be at a computer desk looking up information for clients or in meetings with clients.
Pros
Free food, great staff to work with
Cons
always at a computer screen
