For illnesses lasting three work days or longer, are paid out of a short term disability bank. You accrue the paid time similar to our PTO but at a different rate factor. It is paid at 100% unlike most short term disability plans.

Hillcrest employees receive a bank of PTO (paid-time off) days, which includes vacation, holidays, sick days, and personal days.

You don’t get “sick days”. You use PTO. It’s the same PTO that you have to use for office mandated closings, holidays, vacations, and any other reason that you’re not in the office working.
If you happen to have an illness that lasts longer than three days you can use PTO for the first three days and then after that you can use short term disability.
