Field Technician (Former Employee) –  Albuquerque, NMOctober 12, 2018
The company plays favoritism and the management looks down on distribution and no matter what.
it is always distributions fault
when the owners Come to distribution they look down on us and think we're beneath them.
I've been there over 5 years and they don't even know if I'm a new employee or an old employee.
HR is very cut-throat don't even want to start with them
if you need a job and desperate for one then come here but at your own risk
And if you know someone in the company they will hire you quicker than someone that they don't know which I don't think is right
Pros
Supervisors and distribution will have your back
Cons
Owners and management will throw you under the bus that's quick as you got hired

Good company too much favoritism. You have to know someone to get anywhere. No room for advancement...... Management is the same. No one cares... It needs work
Pros
Flexible schedule
Cons
Favoritism

Supply Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Albuquerque, NMJune 1, 2018
The overall culture with HME Specialists was a very stressful environment The management support was very poor. At first working at HME Specialists I did learn a lot, but the dynamics changed and employees were becoming very unhappy. The culture is so focused on making the patients happy, and left out making sure the employees are happy. When you have happy employees you have happy patients. It all starts with management. The hardest thing with the job is communication. Communication was all over the place nobody is ever on the same page. The support for success is not equal for everyone. It was just not a good place to work if you're expecting a positive working environment.
Pros
Great people to work with
Cons
Very Poor Management

Very short staffed and shows no sign of letting up. We are expected to get through a certain number of orders per day but it is next to impossible to do a thourough job because we are overworked.
Pros
Discount in retail store

No time to take a break

Patient Supply Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Albuquerque, NMJanuary 2, 2018
A typical day at work is beginning right at 8 am taking phone calls from patients who had been waiting on the phone for us to open so they can place their orders, and those are usually the better calls of the day because they are the happiest because they have their call answered right away and their order put in right away as well.

Patient supply coordinator (Current Employee) –  Albuquerque, NMDecember 6, 2017
It was a great place when I first started, after new management was set into place, It became a very displeasing place to work daily. Several employees have left due to this change, very high turn over rate.
Pros
Great co-workers, Great patients and loved the fast pace workflow.
Cons
micro-managed, thrown on phones even if your not a phone person, then held accountable for not getting your work completed.

Great pay, horrible work ethic
Patient supply coordinator (Former Employee) –  Albuquerque, NMApril 8, 2017
Horrible management. High turn over rate. Management needs H.R. to make them go to mandatory meetings on what's appropriate behavior. One supervisor in mind is extremely childish, rude and loves to pick on people for no reason.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Inappropriate behavior from management

Great Company but management needs work
CSR/Billing Representative (Former Employee) –  Albuquerque, NMFebruary 28, 2017
CEO's are wonderful people and are very much involved with their company. I have learned allot in many departments of the company, which provided me with the experience and knowledge to grow in other areas of the health industry.

The downside of the company is some of their Management staff need extensive training on what is appropriate communication and treatment of their staff and other departments. The work enviroment in certain departments is very toxic, which would be another reason why there is a high turnaround in staff.
Pros
develop great freindships with other staff, opportunity to learn more about requirements from different billing entities
