Receptionist (Current Employee) – Bellevue, NE – August 2, 2018
I was unable to move up in the company and at every turn, it seemed like there was still nothing to do. I would not recommend it because of the lack of work but the people are all good people and I loved the people I worked with.
Cage Cashier (Former Employee) – Madison, WI – September 23, 2018
Very poor management, shift manager was upset it took him 8 years to get in the position he was in as a shift manager... Didn't like the idea that I was being promoted with 15 days of my employment to shift manager as well.. made up lies and got me fired for no reason
Non existant communication, participation or involvement by Management.
Administrative Assistant I (Former Employee) – Ho-Chunk Inc. Flatwater Group - Bellevue, NE. – May 2, 2018
I have never been hired to do absolutely NOTHING. The telephones never rang, there was never mail to be sent or received. No training program or side by side instruction or general communication whatsoever. Managers would constantly have meetings about prior meetings about conference call meetings - reverting back to their prior meetings. Unbelievable hours of unnecessary non sense spent - completely avoiding the basics of business called TRAINING for your new employees - PROSPECTING for your new Contracts and COMMUNICATING one on one with those within the Department. If you are looking for a free ride paycheck, without anything to do and nobody to say a word to you 24-7-365 this is the job for you! Apply today at Ho-Hum, Inc.
Risk Insurance Manager (Current Employee) – Sioux City, IA – April 27, 2018
A strong support system with great management. They invest in your growth and in development. They are an awesome organization and I enjoy working being apart of their team. I am looking for a second job to assist in medical bills from my son's recent illness.
Accountant (Current Employee) – Nebraska – January 31, 2018
Finance Department is expected to fill to many rolls with a very limited staff. Also, not everyone that is hired is fully qualified to meet this expectation, and training is too limited to help these individuals improve.
RECEPTIONIST (Current Employee) – Bellevue, NE – November 27, 2017
I look forward to coming to work every day. Everyone is friendly. It is not a stressful place to work. The company does whatever is necessary to keep its employees happy and comfortable. There are monthly birthday celebrations with goodies for all employees and holiday potlucks and parties.
Relaxed, Comfortable, Paid holidays for Part-time employees
Administrative Assistant to CFO (Former Employee) – Bellevue, NE – September 26, 2017
The Sr. management staff is very competitive for each others positions, and their subordinates do the same in their departments too. Such misery. Too much energy spent on making the guy in the corner office happy. And it takes ALOT to make that happiness happen. So Exhausting!
Free lunches all the time, everyone is getting a belly
CFO and her Peers are after each other in every way possible.
Tough times ahead, probably not the best time to get started there.
Accountant (Former Employee) – Winnebago, NE – May 10, 2017
Native American owned company. Historically has had solid growth. Probably has grown too fast lately and taken on too much debt. CEO is really good, but the rest of the executive team is in over their heads.
Ho-Chunk bids on government contracts that they often win because of their status as minority owned.
The government contracts can be awarded elsewhere when the initial contract period is over, Spread too thin in real estate investments
