The benefits are outrageous! If you are coming on Per Diem or don’t need Insurance, you are at the right place. Hoag is a great place to work and they treat you well! However the insurance needs to be re-evaluated! They can do a lot better in this area for their employees! The HMO plan is like paying for a premium PPO plan.
For a family of 5 I pay over $650 a month, i think they should disclose this upon job offer
Benefits are with am HMO, its $30 per visit for doctor visits and our Urgent Cares. Physical therapy is 50 each visit and same with allergy shots (even though you're not seeing a doctor). ER visits are 200, CT and MRI are 100. For myself personally, I pay less than 60 for me and my kids bi weekly. To add my husband is too expensive. For such a rich hospital, they really should waive our copays especially when they don't pay us well at all.
Outrageous, even for an HMO... for me and my husband about $550/mo. I went from a hospital that paid for me and my entire family for PPO insurance to Hoag Hospital. And when I asked during the second interview, they said "oh, the cost is not bad"... psh-yeah right!!?
