Spooler Operator, Troy, OH - August 25, 2015
I arrive 15 minutes early,at the air conditioned break room. I go to my locker and put on my personal protective equipment. I look at the work board to see which machine I am operating. 5 minutes before start time, I go to the machine to get any information needed from the former operator. I make sure I have all the items needed to operate the machine. When the start bell rings, I start the machine. The management and co-workers are helpful. The hardest part of my job is lifting and carrying the 33 to 60 pound spools or coils from the machines to the pallets but I enjoy the hard work.
