Super clean trucks for: customer deliveries, general public notice, & mechanics to work on, set trucks at a 68 cruise/70 overall mph limit, set truck gearing for excellent fuel mileage at said speed, give drivers a manual transmission option, replace old/unreliable equipment, train drivers to be outstanding professionals & increase pay accordingly. Drivers will gain a greater sense of pride with these changes...and you might be surprised with how that can positively affect business. Less crashes, better customer & public image, & improve driver morale, to name a few.
I would change the management structure and the communication between the management and subordinate employees. They are constantly stressing about lack of talent, however they will never be able to recruit high talent for the upcoming generation of graduates without increasing their paid time off policy.
