Sales, Sales, Sales!
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Williamsburg, VAMarch 15, 2019
This organization is very detailed and requires following a script with all clients and through all phrase of customer contact. As with any sales operation, positive numbers are the expected results. You will know what you need to do (via the script and training), and if you don't do well, you will be cut. Hours can be very long but if you got the sales you won't mine the hours or pay. The schedule is flexible as long as you give notice, they are willing to work with you. That said expect to work holidays and weekends. Management is not always available when you need them, which makes the job difficult.
Pros
Money, travel

Hard sale

Don't Bother
Elite Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Myrtle Beach, SCNovember 17, 2018
Management specialized in micro management and early performance management. Unrealistic and they need to fix they're training model to reality and real time. Wouldn't recommend this job to anyone. Typical day at work was micromanaged. Workplace culture was everyone complained about management. Hardest part of the job was clocking in. Most enjoyable part of the job was clocking out.

A fun place to work, with great training! The ability to meet new people and help them figure out a way to balance their work and family life. It also taught me how to read people very well face to face.

Severe Micromanaging
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Galveston, TXMay 29, 2018
Good if you need back breathing, final warning type of motivation to do your best work. About 90% of our sales team was under standard and job safety was in question every week. Unrealistic budgets equal huge carrots you'll likely never reach, but keep you working hard for them. The VP's have a cliquey inner circle and everyone in it is invincible.

Needs a real management team
Sales Consultant/Elite Owner (Former Employee) –  Flint, TXApril 15, 2018
No teamwork, management is just looking out for themselves. Managers have no leadership skills or training. Managers don't respect their higher ups, just worried about their own advancements. Awful work environment, verbal beatings from leadership. Talked down to at any opportunity, managers take pleasure in seeing how many people they can make look and feel belittled, the bigger the audience the uglier the scene. Talk to their employees in a way no one should never be spoken to. Managers are a joke at this site. There are no breaks whatsoever. You don't ever get to eat lunch.
Pros
Good money during the summer

Pressure Sales Job
Timeshare Sales Consultant / Customer Care (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLApril 22, 2017
Have to be immune to negativity all day. People come for the gifts promised and are expecting a tour of property not a timeshare presentation. It is a pressure sales job in which 80% or more of the time you will get a no.

Former Sales Consultant and Latitudes agent Gatlinburg
Sales consultant and Latitudes/Sampler sales (Former Employee) –  Gatlinburg, TNJanuary 9, 2017
January and February is not a good time to start with Holiday Inn as a sales consultant. Very few sales agents will get many tours then let go because of low numbers. Then they bring in new agents each month when the agents the have are struggling to meet their numbers. They do pay well.
Pros
Too many agents not enough tours
Cons
Good pay trips and spiffs

Great company to work for. Co-workers were always friendly, helpful, and encouraging when times were tough. Felt more like a family than a work place.
