Automotive Technician (Former Employee) – Fort Lauderdale, FL – June 1, 2018
The work environment was not bad. Business was slow at times which effects pay due to the flat rate system in place. For the most part management was great but as an employee you feel like just a number at times. My main reason for leaving was the inconsistency in customers and work.
Sales/Leasing Consultant (Current Employee) – Honda – June 18, 2018
If I were able to leave a negative rating, I would. Avoid Avoid Avoid!! You will soon learn that all leads are given to 1 person. Not a place where anything is fair. You will work hard for another person to sit at their desk and be handed everything. A waste of time, management and employees are a revolving door. The management judges every customer they see and have no shame about bashing a customer (behind their back) right in front of you. The same for fellow employees. They talk bad about all of them and then smile in their faces. This place is super slow, they can’t even give cars away, don’t waste your time. You’ll end up with McDonald wages if you’re not experienced. Chin-fil-a wages if you are experienced. Do not believe all of the fake 5 star reviews, they’re all bs. Trust the real ones that are from the honest employees. If not, take a gamble and find out first hand. This place won’t survive much longer. It’ll all be thanks to management.
This company brags about how great they are, but they're actually truly awful. The only way to advance is to suck up, you don't have to actually work, just suck up. The managers are condescending and act like they know it all. They constantly lie to employees. The pay is bad and raises are pathetic. They're constantly forcing pay cuts for employees. The culture is all a sham, they don't practice what they preach and it's more like a cult. It is no longer a family business, it's completely corporate. Corporate knows nothing about the retail car business so everything they decide makes no sense for dealerships. There's constantly meetings so no work can actually get done. The atmosphere is very stressful and morale is very low. Stay far, far away.
Stable work environment with all the tools to suceed
Service Advisor (Current Employee) – Ft. Lauderdale, FL – April 24, 2018
Great company to work for. Not profit driven like public dealer groups. Year end bonus program can earn up to 15 extra days pay! Company team building events. You are not a number, instead a part of the success. Management cares about your personal goals and professional goals.
Year end bonus program, team building events, management that cares
Parts Manager (Current Employee) – Fort Lauderdale, FL – April 24, 2018
Company is a large, family owned business that is focused on growth, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction. I've never worked for a company that spent as much time and effort to make sure its employees were happy. There are many opportunities to advance as long as you are fully engaged and have realistic expectations.
Service Manager (Former Employee) – South Florida, FL – April 16, 2018
The Holman Automotive Group is a great place to work. They take care of their employees and are looking out for your best interests. Unlike most dealer groups that are negative, Holman Automotive is forward thinking and employee focused. You won't find a better dealer group!
Sales Associate (Former Employee) – South Florida, FL – April 10, 2018
Maybe back in the day when the owner really cared about his employees it may have been a great company to work for. Now they bring in so many outsiders that are underqualified, it's pathetic. Nepotism and connections get jobs they are not qualified for. Their high line dealerships have "managers in training" to save money. These trainees do not belong in the positions they fall into. Hard work or automotive knowledge will not get you a promotion any longer. It 's a joke the way they run their business, too much attention to covering their butt paperwork, and not enough corporate advertising. This company needs changes at the top and particularly in HR, they are clueless!! Unless you're desperate, stay away, especially in sales, the quota system average is too much stress.
This company has plenty of cash flow.
Mickey Mouse, talentless, assistant management. No chance for advancement unless you know someone.

I have known sales reps. that have worked for Holman for many years, however if you have 3 months in which you do not meet quota your gone,i my self had health issues, came back to work, and missed quota by 1 and 1/2 vehicles in sales then terminated Company used to be more employee considerate, however they are not very any longer, now profits before employees needs.
Service Coordinator (Current Employee) – Fort Lauderdale, FL – November 28, 2017
This is an excellent temporary job. Very convenient if you are a student. I learned a lot about the automotive industry. A very relaxed work environment. The hardest part of this job would be working full time. The most enjoyable is the terrific pay.
Express Technician (Former Employee) – Maple Shade, NJ – October 30, 2017
As an Express Technician daily work consisted of at least 18 cars a day in each group of two. Learned something new everyday and looking forward to grow. Management was customer focus to maintain good remarks in the community. No part of the job was difficult. Knowing that my work was going into helping another person out was the most enjoyable part of the job.
