It's kind of a nightmare
The animals are the highlight of the job, there are a lot of them and they're fun to take care of and interact with! Coworkers are also good, and the schedule is flexible because it's made in a week by week basis, so if you need time off you can ask for it and are usually granted it. This isn't always great tho cause you can't plan ahead since you don't know when you'll work until the week of

The owner/manager is a nightmare and I'm honestly surprised this place is still open. She seems to fire people and hire new ones on a whim, and good luck getting your final paycheck on time. She takes days at a time to respond to emails and needs reminding to get back to you. All in all I would not recommend working here.

Mixed bag
I loved my job, for the most part. As an overnight worker, my main responsibility was laundry. Between loads I was given other tasks to do like; dispensing medications, cleaning up messes, doing dishes, patrolling the grounds, checking on animals of concern, changing litter pans.

Horrible management with stressful work environment
Let me start this off by saying that management is awful here. Very hard to communicate with and quick to get mad at nothing. Coworkers are catty and have no problem gossiping about the others, which even the manager is guilty of. Job itself is stressful on top of it all. No down time or breaks except for lunch.

Animals-Great!!! Lisa-Not so great
Loved the animals and hard work. Loved the friendly and hard-working staff. Animals were loved and cared for but some areas were over-populated. Some of the animals were well enough to be adopted out. Some animals were kept alive too long. CEO made work environment hostile, was hard to communicate with, would push all her blame onto others.

Love the job
Any given day at the sanctuary is very busy, there is a lot to do. I really enjoy working with the animals. The management is difficult to communicate with and quick-tempered.
