Canvasser (Former Employee) - St. Petersburg, FL - November 10, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedUnsafe and lots of lying. The reps will say you didn’t get the money for the appt and say homeowners weren’t home when they were. Goes to all over Florida too

Jobs at Home Performance Alliance
Horrible and NOT worth it.
Canvasser (Former Employee) - Naples, FL - July 27, 2023
Where do I start? This company is full of baloney, lies not only to their employees but also the customers. 0 out of 10 would NEVER recommend. The pay is also trash and NOT worth the headache and constant reminder of how terrible you’re doing.

Very bad working environment. Company trains you to take advantage of the customer. Company makes promises to the customer and cannot deliver. Very poor installation of their product. Poor customer service. Company rarely calls customer back.

There is money to be made.
Territory Manager (Former Employee) - Ft. Myers, FL - July 13, 2023
You can make money here, but a lot of the time you're making promises that cannot be fulfilled. They are a lot further behind on installs than they have you tell people.

Toxic
Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Pinellas Park, FL - June 29, 2023
Really had high hopes and there are some good people there, however the horrible one are not dealt with and make it extremely uncomfortable. And the customer service was beyond bad, I honestly don't know how they are still growing, except homeowners just don't do their homework.

Terrible non paying not promotional, horrible management.
Confirmation Specialist/ Dispatch (Former Employee) - Saint Petersburg, FL - June 14, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? What a screwed up company! Needs alot of work! Including new management! Do not work here. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They short your check and don't pay you when ever they can. Hire ex cons and people in jail on work release. Drug addicts. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Terrible. Just a circus show of a company. You can find any other job is better then this place. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Call center repeatedly calls old dead leads over and over. Only certain. People get new leads. They lie about how much you can make when you start.

Stressful and a horrible place to work. They don’t treat people with respect you look down as if you are a slave.
Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Saint Petersburg, FL - June 7, 2023
Overall home performance alliance has no diversity in the executive. also, they treat their employees as if they’re nothing. As well as their customers. you will work every holiday with no paid time and a half. Also, you will have to work every holiday except for Christmas Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. it’s very hard to get any type of raises from this job. It’s very stressful not only from the customers, but from the top of the chain all they care about is money there is no one there for the employees to help them with their concerns they take it and just brush it under the rug, the employee turnover rate is horrible there every week there’s someone new and they’re very dirty on how they fire people.

Hard work pays…very well!
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Tampa, FL - June 6, 2023
Overall a great experience, everyone was very helpful, teammates were awesome, and found it to be very rewarding when my clients LOVED the end result. They prepared me for the long hours/time in the car but just make sure you’re fully committed and aware of the traveling this job encompasses. However, if you’re money motivated you will not regret joining HPA as their comp plan is amazing!
Pros
Compensation
Cons
Long hours/mileage

Appointment Setter (Former Employee) - Fort Myers, FL - May 20, 2023
Appointment Setter? than you get hired and it gets turned into Canvassing. Walking door to door. They bamboozle you into the job. Tell you that you can balance two jobs but have no respect for your personal life. Will stay out of town well after we are supposed to be back and clocking out. Very toxic management. RUN RUN RUNN!

The money wasn't worth it.
Territory Manager/Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Jacksonville, FL - April 21, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Money is good. My trainer (who is no longer there) was great too. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Owner is an absolute self centered, egotistical ogre. The system is a pack of lies that mislead the customer into buying a sub par product. In Jax, the window is a pathetic piece of junk. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Culture is fear based, so the work environment oozes stress. What is a typical day like for you at the company? First lead assigned the night before. Could be near by, or could be 90 minutes or so from home. Present and close (or else) for two hours. Next lead assigned and you drive wherever it might be. Perform same dog and pony show and close with a shell game again. Same thing all day, into the night, every day, 6 days a week.

Great coworkers, and good money to be made
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - St. Petersburg, FL - November 10, 2022
I really enjoyed working here. I only left because I had to relocate. The atmosphere in the office was comfortable yet professional. There is excellent opportunity to make money here as well, if you are hired in a position that offers commission in addition to your hourly rate or annual salary.

You’re never good enough
Appointment setter (Former Employee) - 1780 102ave N unit 500 St. Petersburg flight - October 1, 2022
In my time at home performance alliance I have only felt unappreciated and undervalued. Management never acknowledged when I was improving, only when I made mistakes. It never goes up the chain of command when you do good at home performance alliance. This company will never celebrate your growth, it’ll only demand you do better. Employees and management here at home performance alliance have their own cliques and it makes any new employee feel Ostracized. They don’t put your safety first and expect you to work in Hurricane conditions. Home performance alliance wanted their outdoor field canvassers to work the three upcoming days before a major hurricane hit and the owner of the company, home performance alliance, was furious when employees put their safety first and did not show up to work. If you value your safety or your family safety or your mental health this company is not for you.

Fun office atmosphere
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) - Saint Petersburg, FL - August 22, 2022
Lots of cool offices events. Managers can sometimes be a pain. Other than the constant disorganization l. This can be a fun office. Aldd see o the owner can be very aggressive.

Flexible and reliable
Contractor (Former Employee) - St. Petersburg, FL - July 4, 2022
Flexible and reliable people to work with. What I liked most was that they provided quality jobs for me, though I was glad that they had enough work to keep my schedule full.

Happy making my money
Employee (Current Employee) - St. Petersburg, FL - June 16, 2022
Pays UNBELIEVEABLY well. Just when I expect there to be a lull, BOOM! More clients started calling. HPA is where the money’s at. And the company’s great in general too.

Easy job and easy paycheck. Always someone available to answer questions if you need clarification. Nothing to complain about unless you’re literally allergic to working.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) - St. Petersburg, FL - June 15, 2022
I was told when I was hired that Home Performance Alliance is serious about promoting growth, and they weren’t kidding! I was promoted quicker than ever before just by showing initiative.
