High pressure, company reputation makes it hard to sell

Overall, it seems the rich just get richer here, and everyone else fights for scraps. If you don't do well, the pressure gets turned way up. When the job goes well, you can make a great paycheck. But it does seem like the people that end up doing well long-term get lucky at first and establish themselves as "closers," but none of these closers are saying or doing anything particularly magical. It seems the top producers get set up with a lot of lay-down closes.
