Homee is a great place to work. I have been here for a couple years and have seen the growth from one consumer type to many more. It is not always easy (nothing in construction is), but the culture and the teamwork is the glue that keeps it all together. The teamwork makes the dream work.
I enjoy working for a company that appreciates who I am and what I do. I'm not a forgotten employee in this company and I matter to them, even during stressful times. Everyone is helpful and always there when asked to assist. Even with the uncertain times in a pandemic they made sure they did what they needed to push forward and continue doing what they've always done.... Getting. The. Job. Done.
Since, starting at HOMEE, I have learned more than I could have hoped for. HOMEE gives its employees the autonomy to create their role. Working for HOMEE will force you out of your comfort zone and challenge you in a great way. If you are looking to grow in your career and create your own path, HOMEE is the place to be. Be ready to work hard, but have fun at the same time. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people I get to work with every day. The environment is flexible and the people are always willing to help out when figuring out solutions to problems. Leadership invests in the culture and happiness of employees.
Flexible environment, great culture and leadership.
One of the things about Homee is that they are constantly growing and changing every single day. With those changes come new systems and procedures. For the most part everyone is pretty receptive to the changes taking place and adjust as need be. What is exciting to see is that they are very open to feedback and new ideas allowing the people who work there to feel like they have a voice. If you genuinely want to be involved in changes that are being made you definitely can within reason.

If you are someone who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to contribute, you'll do well here. With HOMEE being a start-up, there are frequent changes with process and technology. Sometimes constant changes can be difficult to navigate however leadership here is extremely available which helps to get everyone on board with "the what" and "the why" of these changes. There continues to be improvements to process and technology which will be critical to the company's growth.

I was blessed with the opportunity to join this great organization from the early days. It all begun with a dream of two great leaders who believed on their employees!Changing an industry it's not an easy task, but most importantly doing it with passion, respect, hard work, determination and happiness. Putting their employees well-being first, providing the tools to succeed and open doors policy to leadership to answer any questions, give great advice and showing us the right path to take. Homee is not just a job, it's one big family looking to give back the construction industry the love and respect that perhaps has been forgotten. Often times we walk around big cities and don't stop to think how many working hours it took to complete such a big building, how many deadlines, how many generations were involved. We often just snap a picture share it in social media and keep it for memory, working at Homee I was able to learn and appreciate all of this, the efforts, the man-hours to complete projects and sacrifices made. Takes a team to complete projects, and together we achieve dreams. Homee, it's a family full of dreams and goals!
Homee has found ways to adapt to the ever evolving post-covid economy. Strong partnerships with huge players in the insurance industry are helping the company grow at unprecedented rates. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

The work is hard and continues to grow, but it's great being part of a team that will pitch in and help no matter what. We are growing, so getting more efficient is really important, and our leadership is always willing to listen to ways we can get better.
Flexible schedule, great team
A day of work at HOMEE is never the same each week. As a startup, HOMEE is constantly finding its white space and evolving the business. But while fast-paced, I've always felt that the team acts more like a family than a group of co-workers.
Changing priorities difficult for some not from a startup environment
I must say at the beginning it was an amazing work environment. When new management took over that’s went it became an absolute nightmare. Management took over and hired new staff and all other staff members were treated as secondary. The new staff was appointed higher positions, higher pay and were treated completely different. Once upper management was informed about what was going on they would look for anything to fire you. When asked for support HR lied and said that a notice for my position was given, when I never did that at all. This is a very hostile work environment. Unfortunately the contractors are also constantly lied to and under paid told they are approved for a certain price and given another. Not allowing Hispanic workers to do contract jobs. Watching your manager pass judgment on you even though they only worked there for one week. Finding out that you have been written up for covering everyone else’s a** and working 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Being forced out of your position for voicing your opinion and addressing concerns with HR.
