A mom and pop store on Church Street in Burlington, VT, a typical day of work is going in, customer serving, often shifting the store around to highlight new products. There is a decent amount of lifting. Management is within one family, for the most part. Coworkers tend to get along well with one another and try to create an atmosphere where others feel comfortable working and helping each other is encouraged. The hardest part of the job is customer service, and the most enjoyable part of the job is customer service. This is a very customer friendly store. Dogs are allowed.
Proactive environment working with community youths
Youth Development Coordinator (Current Employee) – Columbus, OH – August 20, 2013
It is a good experience working as a Homeport Youth Development Coordinator. I learned a lot about myself, the organization, the community in which I served, and learned how recreation and leisure can be viewed differently at my location. I am taking a lot of what I learned, experience and use it at my next place of employment.
