At the time of this job, the recession had hit and it was difficult to make any money
SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (Former Employee) –  Norfolk, VAJuly 23, 2018
I think the timing of this job affected all the employees making money. The recession had hit and businesses were cutting back on ads. I still did my quota each day.
Pros
The recession had hit and the company still wanted results
Cons
A chance to make money, but at a different time

Horror story.
Account Executive, Real Estate Advertising (Former Employee) –  Norfolk, VAMay 15, 2018
Homes.com is a poor internet product that hardly is marketable. Yet the goal expectations are completely unrealistic. High pressure, never able to get bonuses. High turn over.

Manager of Project Management (Current Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLMarch 11, 2018
Homes.com is a wonderful place to work. Everyone from management on down is supportive, friendly, open and a joy to work with. As a perk, developers are even permitted to work from home one day per sprint cycle.

Great place to begin an inside sales position.
Inside Sales Executive (Current Employee) –  Norfolk, VAFebruary 7, 2018
Great place to begin an inside sales career, commission structure is great minimum %50 on all sales. Base salary is pretty low starting off but has uncapped commission. Great management and small perks to keep sales team motivated. Office environment is great everyone there is very supportive and willing to give advice. Must be disciplined and proactive in your growth. Helps to have an interest in Real Estate.
Pros
frequent breaks, good management

Homes Media Solution, Manager (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CADecember 10, 2017
Homes.com was a pleasant environment but the sales marketing world is very competitive therefore I did learn that a typical day at work would start and finish with the fast pace of the accumulation of sales

Inside Sales Team - The Way It Should Be
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLNovember 29, 2017
Perfect opportunity for a professional inside sales person. Unlimited commission with solid base, in a winning team environment. Top producer will offer assistance and share all secrets to success. Selling marketing to sales associates all makes good business sense. No micro management. All tools needed to make money. Daily, weekly, monthly extra incentives. Sales manager has been a top producer, so coaches from real life experience.
Pros
Always providing extra incentives

Great Sales Job!
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CANovember 22, 2017
- Uncapped commission with great commission structure!!!
- Fun, upbeat work environment with great coworkers
- Management is very supportive and really has your back and there's no micromanaging
- Spiffs are great! Gift cards, free lunches, time off, vacation giveaways, etc.
- Good hours, you're off every day by 3:30
- Good benefits and 401K matching after a year

The base salary is a little low, but if you work hard the commission structure makes up for it. Like any sales job, if you're not extremely driven, and are just looking to show up and get paid, this isn't the job for you.

Was a great place to work before new management took over
Marketing Executive (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CANovember 7, 2017
For a good salesperson it's a great job. But when management works against it's employees then it becomes a nightmare place to work at. Lots of factors go into that but other then that great employees to work with.
Pros
pay, awards, travel and conventions
Cons
management and "yes" men in management

Great company to work for!
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CAOctober 10, 2017
This job is fast-paced and you need to be willing to deal with rejection and not be afraid to pick up the phone. You're making 80 to 100 calls a day but can make really good money if you were hard. It's not an easy job and not right for everyone. The hours are also great from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

If you're determined - this will be the best sales job ever
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CAOctober 10, 2017
I have been working at Homes.com full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
FREE LUNCH spiffs
no micromanagement
nice computers (2 monitors)
Managers are so motivating and not over aggressive.
Lots of Spiffs:
3 day vacations
gift cards
money ($100-$750)

------------------

There is a ton of support to help new rep.
Very generous bonus and 30k salary for new reps to encourage top producers to leave their companies to come here.

There are many managers and Mentors and a Team leader for all new reps. You will be given all the tools to succeed, but it is your job to use them.

I've had a lot of ups and downs working in sales here but I've always kept my head up and kept dialing.

Your level of Grit and determination will determine whether you make 40K this year or $70k.

I started with this company in
2014 and made 40k 1st year ($8hr salary)

2015- 72k
2016- 66k

A great place to work!
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CAAugust 1, 2017
Homes.com is a great company. Management is always willing to help and everyone works together as a team. Company benefits are awesome. Great environment. The biggest downfall is that it is hard to make money. Top producers are making close to six figures but all have been with the company for many years and sell higher end products that newer associates are not able to sell. Homes.com would keep more associates if they offered higher base pay or guarantees.
Pros
Hours, support from management, benefits
Cons
Hard to make money, 100% Cold Calling

Paid training and Excellent benefits under a blanket of high pressure cold call sales work
Inside Sales Account Executive (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CAJanuary 12, 2017
This is a great company I wish I had stumbled upon before a seasoned staff of salespeople had already been secured. I met and worked with some amazing people, learned a lot, but the hardest part of the job unfortunately was the job: cold calling. I believe everyone should experience a challenge like this at least once in their careers. I'm glad I did but I'm also glad to know it's over!
Pros
Excellent training and benefits
Cons
Company growing pains were felt from day 1
