Micromanaged and stressful
Technician (Current Employee) - PEI - August 12, 2022
With small improvements this could be a great workplace. But all these improvements cost money and like all corporations Honeywell won't spend a cent they don't absolutely have to. These small things cause very high turn over. The high turnover puts more pressure on those remaining to overperform, but recognition in the form of pay or promotion is rare. Pay raises rarely cover cost of living. But there are occasional free lunches or BBQ's so who needs a living wage?
Pros
benefits are ok, safe workplace, small site so very friendly
Cons
Too much overtime demanded, IT and HR are off site, poor pay, promotion is rare, no A/C in building

Logistics Administrator (Former Employee) - Poole - August 12, 2022
Lots of temp staff that work hard for little appreciation form the company as a whole (team managers are supportive). Feels like the company is just try to rinse every penny out of employees without giving much back

Pays Well, Some Poor Supervisors
Avionics Assembler (Current Employee) - Minneapolis, MN - August 11, 2022
Pays well for needing no degree. Lots of mandatory overtime for assembly and technician roles. Some supervisors need to better understand work/life balance, since 60+ hours for months on end is unreasonable.

Some are friendly and helpful
Quality Inspector (Current Employee) - Rocky Mount, NC - August 11, 2022
Management is definitely not the best. Sick leave and personal time off is often denied. Getting someone to train you will be hard. People quitting and retiring left and right.
Cons
Doesn’t have best healthcare plan or 401k

Was not a fun place to work at
Project Engineer (Former Employee) - Torrance, CA - August 11, 2022
Too much attrition to actually make any meaningful strides without significant OT which is not paid for. This made it difficult to continue working without having any emotional or mental issues.

Productive and fun work place
Assembly Operator (Former Employee) - Horsham - August 11, 2022
Nice place to work, young team, fun, but not paid enough. The management was very good at that time, very nice with all the staff members, and very understanding.

Micro Managing
Shipper (Current Employee) - North Vancouver, BC - August 11, 2022
Lots of it. As mentioned by others bureaucracy is rampant You can't sneeze without writing a report. I don't know about benefits. I may never know. Just contracting right now and for the past year. From what I understand it's a good deal once you settle in. Whether that will happen for me, I don't know.
Pros
Good wage. Good work/life balance.
Cons
Hoops. Lots of hoops to jump through.

Honeywell Launchpad
Information Systems Security Analyst II (Former Employee) - Chesapeake, VA - August 10, 2022
Honeywell was a good start, however they did not have any of the tools needed to do the job, nor were any of the employees hired on the back end of the contract compensated well enough for the work being done. There is no way that you should turn around and get a job as a GS, doing the exact same thing, making close to double the amount you were making at Honeywell. They don’t show enough care, compassion, for any of their contracted employees. There may have been been a difference for employees who were full-time.

Software Engineer Review
Software Engineer (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - August 8, 2022
Usually overworked and under appreciated. However, the pay is good enough to warrant staying for some time if you can help it. Your exact experience will depend HIGHLY on what team you work on. Many teams in the company were similar to mine in that they made a very unhealthy work environment, while some were much better.

Jobs at Honeywell
Average work environment
Electronics Technician (Current Employee) - Pasadena, TX - August 4, 2022
Not a dreamy place to work but not bad. I do enjoy my coworkers and there is no micromanagement thank goodness. However, there is something to be says about the past scale not changing for a decade.

Not a lot of good to say about working here.
Aerospace Test Engineer (Current Employee) - Clearwater, FL - August 4, 2022
Very little benefits of working here. The management, specifically in test, is absolutely clueless. Unprofessional and zero knowledge about the day to day of what happens in the workplace. I’m surprised he even puts his shoes on the right feet. Forced to work in areas outside of your job classification without formal or proper training, and then you’re punished for any mistakes made. Not to mention offering zero incentive into learning new areas, but you MUST learn and work in new areas outside of your own. Oh, you caught covid along with the other 15+ people a week who catch it? Hope you don’t have to miss more than 7 days, after that, good luck with getting temporary disability because honeywell will do nothing to help you. You were banking on that unlimited overtime to help cover your bills? That’s only when the customer needs it. If not, don’t let them catch you working a minute of overtime. Congrats, you just broke another production record, here’s a cool email with your name not even in bold font. You would rather a bonus or any other reward? Nah, just hassled to work even more. Definitely don’t mention the guy whose dad is high up here, nope that kid can come and go as he pleases, working a total of maybe 10 hours a week but still pulling the normal paycheck. Other businesses give holiday bonuses or gift cards or anything? Holiday of ‘21 not even a free hot lunch. But hey, at least I get to wear sweats to work half the time.
Pros
Super relaxed dress code
Cons
Too many to list

Another part of the machine
Test Technician II (Former Employee) - Clearwater, FL - August 4, 2022
Advancement only comes as you apply for it. They DO NOT and WILL NOT seek employees for advancement. You must apply for advancement and go through the same interview process as if you were being hired for the first time. The questions asked in the interview process may NOT apply to the position you are applying for, and it is a board interview. Management intentionally prevented myself and others that I am still in contact with today from advancing within the company due to personal “vendettas” because they preferred the suck up culture over the people that say “no” because of safety/quality factors. Especially in the commercial side at Clearwater, FL.

A productive place to work with 12 hrs shifts
Chemical Operator Level II (Former Employee) - North Charleston, SC - August 3, 2022
If you are interested in long hours of repetition work and not being celebrated for your hard work this is a place for you. The communication between upper management and employees is not good.

Management Retaliates
Mechanical Assembler (Current Employee) - Kansas City, MO - August 2, 2022
Refer to summary. You'll do well if you're a people pleaser. The reality is that noone really needs to be told what to do, but the managers have to appear like they are here for some reason other than facilitating our needs. So some micromanage, and do a terrible job at it. I can only speak for one department.

It pays the bills
Slitter Operator (Former Employee) - Pottsville, PA - July 31, 2022
Decent enough pay if you can deal with the work schedule and being stuck on an off shift for an indefinite amount of time. The guys and gals on the floor are laid back and a pleasant to work with. Management is alright. Not too much really to brag about. If you want an easy job with good pay this is it. Just know there is a lot of mental stress involved.
Pros
pays a living wage
Cons
just about everything else

Management is not present
Aviation Mechanic (Current Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - July 28, 2022
There are bad or absent leaders up and down the echelon of the company. With low leadership retention, lower level employees are left out to dry. I feel I get paid enough for what I do though. Another con is 0 schedule flexibility

Stressful Workplace
Sr Advanced Engineer (Current Employee) - Bangalore, Karnataka - July 27, 2022
Experienced candidates are expected to work at maximum degree. No work-life balance. People only attend meetings and calls. No proper on job training is provided, in the name of Domain Training only 4 Hours of Online session was organized. Because of change in management, and post COVID job openings, lots of people have left and are leaving. Key people who had domain and product knowledge have left the organization because of which there is huge knowledge gap in existing employees. New hires are expected to work like experts in the first few months, as if they have several years of domain knowledge. There is no proper planning and approach for the projects. Existing people without understanding the complexity of the entire program just commits some random date to upper management, and then they put pressure on their subordinates to perform many tasks in the committed time.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, no free lunch, no free transport

Bad morale
Electrical Controls Technician (Current Employee) - Westbrook, ME - July 27, 2022
Honeywell doesn’t care about their employees. We were just numbers to them. And you’re expected to work after hours on your own time. Constantly pulling you of jobs and complaining that your tasks aren’t finished
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything
