DSP in Salem, VA

The homes are nice on the Same campus. They have homes all over the state. Benefits are ok but health care is way too expensive for anyone especially on entry level pay.
Rescare in Martinsville, VA
on July 20, 2022
Racist Company. The management is poor. The good thing about the company is the residents. You will get attached to them. The bad thing about the company is that if it's an employee vs management. They will only listen to the management side and not the employee.
Youth Care Worker in Salem, VA
on July 13, 2022
As a youth care worker you are expected to work 40 hours a week. However with so much turnover you end up working 50-60 hours a week, having little to no personal time or work life balance
Direct Support in Virginia Beach, VA
on July 7, 2022
The job calls for too much work and not nearly enough pay. There are no communication things change overnight not because it makes sense but because it makes things easier but harder in the long run. It's not "earthy crunchy) meaning all-inclusive and diverse when it comes to management. The DSPs do not have a say so.
DSP in Fredericksburg, VA
on May 25, 2022
I’ve had a few DSP jobs but this one has been the best one yet. I’ve never worked in a group home setting, I was coming out of a day support and had a very bad experience so I was a bit nervous on going into a group home. I work overnights, do my part on being a team player and doing what I’m suppose to do. If you do your right and respect the people in the home then you have nothing to worry about. The pay is great, the management… especially my manager is very helpful and always responds in a timely manner when needed! I don’t see myself leaving anytime soon and love the people I work with!
