Public School
Occupational Therapist (Former Employee) –  Hopkins, MNMay 6, 2018
Typical public school environment. Lack of funding, discouraged and underpaid staff, lack of communication, lack of respect from administration, no potential for growth.

Career & Technical Education Director (Current Employee) –  Hopkins, MNApril 22, 2018
While there are many types of positions at ISD 270, they continually look for a dynamic background ultimately looking for someone who individually has high standards.

PARAPROFESSIONAL VIDEO EDITOR (Current Employee) –  Minneapolis, MNJanuary 9, 2018
Hopkins public schools is a relaxed environment, fun and very diverse. It is fun working here, however you don't get paid to your full potential. After some point you don't feel challenged in your work, it becomes redundant.
Pros
amazing staff, faculty and community
Cons
pay is okay.

INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE RENOVATOR AND TECHNICIAN (Former Employee) –  Hopkins, MNOctober 15, 2017
One would have to be able to work hard hours during the summer, but it would consist of fixing and refurbishing terrazzo and square tile flooring and other tasks assigned on a daily basis.

Fun work place but could use more organization
Special Education Paraprofessional (Current Employee) –  Hopkins, MNJune 28, 2017
Could use more organization when training employees and need more benefit options. Does not provide accumulated vacation time only a couple personal days and sick leave
Pros
Same schedule as your children
Cons
No pay during breaks or summer

Strong Educators
Kindergarten Teacher (Former Employee) –  Hopkins, MNJune 19, 2017
Loved working for Hopkins Public Schools. They provide numerous options for CEU's and relevant book studies. Not a good mentor program and I had two very unprofessional & unkind teachers on my team. Worked with some amazing co-workers within my school and district. Met amazing families and students. Teachers need to be more supported.
Pros
benefits, salary increases
