Contract position with plan to convert to FTE

Took the position after short interview with recruiter and then phone interview with hiring manager as I have extensive experience in my field and know contacts that HI and the client both knew as well so no need to spend a lot of time going through the dance.
I told them what rate would work and my FTE conversion compensation level and for most part all were met after short negotiation period as it was below what I had earned in the past but I was looking for other employer benefits (location, culture, benefits, etc).
I don't like a lot of contact from vendor after contract starts so not hearing much was fine and when time came for conversion to FTE that went well.
I've talked to and worked with many worse vendors and a few better and the problems are usually with most candidates if they don't understand the business or how to establish their true worth and then stick to it.
