The interview process was quick: I applied online, got a prompt call from the store director, Pam, and then I was in for a personal interview -- I was on the floor and working only a week after I interviewed, and I had nothing but positive experiences working for this company during my time there. From my experience working in customer service, I've found that most managers aren't keen on performing follow-ups/reviews with employees (to evaluate changes in wages), but Hornbachers WAS! I was scheduled for regular reviews with the manager of the deli and evaluated at each one, coming out of it with a slightly increased wage. I felt appreciated and respected at Hornbachers.

Your managers do not train in all areas of the store for a reasonable amount of time; therefore they do not understand the restrictions, skill levels needed, limitations, or the experiences their workers go through. Your upper management team is made up of people who not only do not communicate properly with managers but also do not fully understand the departments or what goes on in them.
