A Caring Company

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Being in the hospice industry you would expect that the employees here care for their patients, but what make this company different is that the company also truly cares for their employees. Employees are treated as assets and not interchangeable pieces that can easily be replaced. Employees are encouraged to have that work/life balance. Management understands life outside of work and know that people need time away. They understand that family comes first and they are aware of burnout in this industry and constantly work to ensure that this doesn't happen. A very proactive company that offers flexibility in work schedules, whether that means reduced days, work from home or even leave of absence. The majority of employees have been employed here over 10 years, and turnover is minimal (usually a retirement). Whether you are looking for full time, part time, per diem or even becoming a volunteer you are welcome here.

Excellent Organization

Great organization to work for that is also respected by the community. HOV has been awarded a Top Workplace for the past 5 years. Management is understanding and honest, work/life balance is great, and all the employees are truly kind people.

Wonderful hospice to work for!

Best place I've ever worked. Super supportive and caring management. Nurse caseload is kept low to allow the RNCM to spend the time needed to provide excellent care to all patients add well as provide support to the families.

Wonderful co-workers

The work is so fulfilling. Managers/Administration are extremely supportive. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The hardest part is paperwork. The most enjoyable is making a difference in peoples' lives.

Enjoyable place to work for.

This was a place where the patients were highly cared for and the needs of the employees were also considered. Employees were given a lot of respect and deferred to in their areas of expertise.

Home care hospice visits

40+ hour work week depending on patient acuity. Learned how rewarding it is to work with entire family. As case-manager, I managed a team of social worker, chaplain, nurse assistant, pharmacy, medical supplier. Co-workers were like a family and we all supported one another. Hardest part of job was being on-call a night for a death. Most enjoyable was getting to know some wonderful people.

good salary, good co-workers, rewarding job
