A Caring Company
Hospice Employee (Current Employee) - Murrieta, CA - August 9, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedBeing in the hospice industry you would expect that the employees here care for their patients, but what make this company different is that the company also truly cares for their employees. Employees are treated as assets and not interchangeable pieces that can easily be replaced. Employees are encouraged to have that work/life balance. Management understands life outside of work and know that people need time away. They understand that family comes first and they are aware of burnout in this industry and constantly work to ensure that this doesn't happen. A very proactive company that offers flexibility in work schedules, whether that means reduced days, work from home or even leave of absence. The majority of employees have been employed here over 10 years, and turnover is minimal (usually a retirement). Whether you are looking for full time, part time, per diem or even becoming a volunteer you are welcome here.

Home care hospice visits
Case Manager (Former Employee) - Murrieta, CA - January 1, 2013
40+ hour work week depending on patient acuity. Learned how rewarding it is to work with entire family. As case-manager, I managed a team of social worker, chaplain, nurse assistant, pharmacy, medical supplier. Co-workers were like a family and we all supported one another. Hardest part of job was being on-call a night for a death. Most enjoyable was getting to know some wonderful people.
Pros
good salary, good co-workers, rewarding job
Cons
on call hours
