Cashier/Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Cleveland, OHMarch 17, 2019
Fast paced and slow at the same time.Providing quick checkout for people ready to get on their flight was essential. Management was fun and reliable with great attitudes. The hardest part would be to clean the store while people were coming to get snacks for their flights.

This company is an excellent company to work. Received Christmas Bonus. Human Resource staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed going to work at my work location. Met positive friendly people.
Pros

Cons
Hourly pay was low. Hourly pay could be higher for blue collar workers in the company.

Poor management, some good co-workers
Food Service Worker (Former Employee) –  Destin, FLMarch 8, 2019
My first couple months here were great, the managers cared and the co workers were fantastic people. As the holiday season passed so did some of the senior employees. They were all quickly replaced by warm bodies incapable of performing basic tasks. They would sit on their phones until management walked by then barely look busy. They were rude to all co-workers and customers. Management would refuse to address any of these problems. The lack of proper management in this company is disheartening. No matter what problem would come up it was never their problem, only the employees or "someone above me".

Would not recommend for this area
Pros
50% discounts on some items and food.
Cons
Management, and some poor co-workers

Often times workers were left in the stores by their self with no relief. I had to use the restroom and no one was there to uplift me for a breif moment.

The team made easy to get through the shift
Retail Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAMarch 7, 2019
The hardest part of the job was trying to deal with things in your life trying to put a smile on your face at work when customers make it more harder for you to do your job and a typical day at work can be fine depends on people. management is not great and you could not even clock in early or if there is nothing to do in the store you will get in trouble or have a long talk with you. the work place is all the same culture you may see some one different at another terminal and having to deal with a racist co worker and management do nothing
Pros
Co workers, and discounts
Cons
customers, could not even clock in early, always picky on little things

Horrible place to work.
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  John F. Kennedy International Airport, NYMarch 7, 2019
They dont care about their employee's if you're sick you have to come to work they dont care that you're coughing and sneezing all over the money and products that you're selling to customers. Shifts are supposed to be from 2-10 they come to close your regisiter whenever they feel like it... They don't care what you have to do as soon as you get out of work. for instance you have to pay babysitters extra cause they keep their 2-10 employees until 2-3am if they have late flights.. This is horrible company to work for after 10 + years no benefits or retirement

Casual work environment; slow paced; busy work focus
Retail Service Associate (Former Employee) –  Roanoke, VAMarch 1, 2019
Hudson, being located inside an airport, grants associates the opportunity to meet and chat with people from all over. My location however is a smaller terminal and did not receive quite as many visitors as larger terminals would. But still, based on Hudson's work culture, they were very stringent about maintaining welcoming, up-to-date technology and accessory options for travelers coming and going from our area, with clothing, souvenirs and literature.

The work consisted of maintaining a retail space full of edibles, such as candies, salty snacks and beverages. While also providing literature in magazines, new release novels, local sports memorabilia, shirts, sweatshirts and baseball hats. As well as technology options focusing around headphones, battery chargers and accessories for those who forgot their device's peripherals at home.

Because the job was primarily focused on people flying out of the terminal, our business was mostly effected by flight delays departing, which at times can force store closure to be delayed until the final flight has left the tarmac. During downtime, associates are responsible for maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels, folding new apparel to be placed on shelves, ensuring price tagging is done on all items so that they can be quickly referenced for inquiry and also ensuring that all shelves, floor kiosks and banners are kept up to date and in good condition.
Pros
20% discount on all Hudson News merchandise or associates, 10% for restaurant purchases across the hall, getting to meet various people and hear stories from all over the world.
Cons
Lack of upward mobility for those looking to advance.

Technical Support/Wholesale Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Lawrence, MAFebruary 25, 2019
No team work, other employees would not help when someone else needed it. They would ask you to cover the emergency line for an hour and leave you with it for the day. Putting your job behind.
Cons
Too many hours.

i would go in. oversee the work that is being done in the am shift. i would walk the warehouse, check the stock. i would ask questions such as why is that product out of stock. did we call the distribution center to find out when it will be in stock again etc. i will check the receiving / transfer log to see what was received and what was transferred.
