Project Manager, Director of Specifications (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLSeptember 5, 2018
I enjoyed my time at Huitt-Zollars. As a branch office we were always made to feel a part of the corporate organization.. This happened through company-wide video conferencing as well as frequent visits from top corporate leaders. The emphasis was always on doing the right thing and the best quality work. H-Z provided excellent company benefits, including profit sharing, ,re-imbursement of licensure fees, and other certification costs.
Pros
Great office building and loccation.
Cons
None.

Good place to work, Management is quite Myopic
Vice President / Survey Director California (Former Employee) –  Irvine, CAOctober 12, 2017
A good company that struggles with corporate myopia in a few distinct areas. They hog tie their office managers to approved openings to hire people, however if you need more people for shorter terms than a typical engineering project they simply say no leading to missed deadlines, unhappy clients and bad internal reviews. The corporate ESOP has good intentions but it is artificially inflated.
Pros
Good training
Cons
Corporate myopia on work load issues

Senior Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZJuly 26, 2016
I enjoyed two assignments. There wasn't job sharing across design teams to balance work tasks and bill ability. I was sent to the Plano, TX, office to win the Design-Build project on the North Tarrant Expressway.

Management Lacking
Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXJuly 9, 2015
This company does not promote or foster professional development. The management is horrible and does not do a good job providing oversight or instruction. The culture is lacking. Do not talk do not move from your desk- constantly being monitored. No work life balance as CEO is a workaholic. No bonus.
Cons
No bonus. Poor management.
