The hours are available for part time or full time. They hire from the community as well as the city. It is a very workable environment from the moment you park your car in the spacious parking lot.
Train gallery staff completely and be open about the expectations for them to cover the bar, food service and clean the conference rooms. Also sales staff needs to more communicative with clients and not drop it on gallery hosts to figure it out. Security would be nice for hosts who are working the front desk alone especially during lock up in downtown areas.
I was feeling very bad each day because to mucho discrimination. And some workers dont do the job. Like engineering department they coming drunk and they sleep in there and the supervisor know that. They are all friends that's why.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Hyatt a better place to work?
I would listen to the employees who are in direct contact with the guests. Learn on the correlation between guests and service and not just numbers. I would make sure that work performance is priority over years of work served. Things change over time and so do people and its unfortunate and hard to so but in order for a business to prosper they must have the staff to maintain volume as well as staff that is actually efficient at their position. Maintain a higher standard for management and HR staff. Drug use, bullying, multiple descriptions of harassment and more take place on the regular at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. It's sad to witness when the company is overall amazing.
Be transparent. These guys are in sales and can read a spun yarn as quickly as they can spin one....
