Very unsafe and sketchy place to work
Auto Body Prep Technician (Former Employee) - Hebron, OH - May 18, 2023
This is an extremely unprofessional and usage place to work. They have had a problem paying their employers (especially any overtime) and many are still fighting for their money.

Horrible management
Auto Body Technician (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - February 4, 2023
There is no communication between managers and employees, most of the company's problems come from that, secondly they play favorites, no benefits besides vision and dental, and no advancement to get raise
Pros
Hour lunch
Cons
Management and higher ups

A company ran so incompently its a mix of hilarity and just sadness.
Jack of All Trades (Former Employee) - Tolleson, AZ - November 28, 2022
Ill begin by saying what a joke of a company this has been to both its employee's and its customers. I was lucky to have a chill team lead who actually genuinely cared about putting out a good product and would help you along the way. I was able to pick up some new skills along the way thanks to him. Everyday started out with the constant frustration of lack of equipment or broken equipment and supplies. There really wasn't any game plan, just read a window and try your best to complete the tasks the car required. It never really mattered how much you did or how many cars you completed so certain coworkers would take advantage of that and just sit around on their phone and collect a pay check while everyone else picked up their slack. Your health and safety was the least of their concerns. If you wanted proper PPE you either had to supply your own or wait on them to order it which was just lip service because it never actually got to you. With no HR Dept, there was no one to bring any issues to which I think was by design. Overall there was no sense of direction or any incentives to do more. Its hard to care when the people managing and running the company couldn't care less.
Pros
Long weekend and an hour long break.
Cons
Too many to list

Content until massive layoffs.
Auto Collision Technician (Former Employee) - Oklahoma City, OK - November 23, 2022
Hypersport is a great place to learn how to build a career for people with no experience. Management would consistently lie and they would have feuds with carvana so we never received any work. One day we all were laid off and I never received any compensation and no one can receive unemployment because we are still employed to them technically and they will not fire us.
Pros
Shop experience
Cons
Not knowing if you will work.

Non productive
Former painter (Former Employee) - Concord, NC - July 10, 2022
Management is horrible. They use lacqauer primmer on all repairs even aluminum panels.. clueless at any kind of quality..would never buy a car from carvanna knowing this place did body repair to the vehicle.. the clear coat they use is the cheapest one of the shelf. It dies back before it ever hits the parking lot.. they have to sand an buff everything..hire a few techs that can actually do good work an they work them to death while young management hangout with younger employees that have basically no skill set.. on cells all day long goofing off an the work load goes on to the experienced techs that are being under paid .. an management that claims they can fix it all but clearly not.. just used carlot butcher shop..

Management alone makes this place horrible
Polisher/glass tech/detail/porter (Current Employee) - Heath, OH - May 17, 2022
Management makes this place unbearable. If you try to bring up an issue at anytime with any supervisor or manager you will get talked in circles. Human resources is a 3rd party company and they will not pick up if you try to call them. Also took me a full 3 1/2 months before I could get my first check.

Fun place to work. They need to fire some people who sleep on the job (on camera). Other than that, it's ok.
Auto Body Technician (Former Employee) - Leb - April 25, 2022
They don't fire people that need to be fired. The hours are Monday through Friday 7-4 with one hour lunch. There is a gal that sleeps on the job and still works here

So unorganized.
Blah (Current Employee) - Concord, NC - March 27, 2022
They hire anybody. As long as they have a body in a spot. High turnover. Terrible management. They don't care AT ALL about their workers. They make a bunch of promises, never keep them. They promote their best friends from high school, instead qualified individuals. Most of the management is in their early 20's. So are most of the employees. They will tell you one thing, then six months later tell you you misunderstood. The managers could care less if you have what you need to perform your job properly. You could literally beg for help, and all you get is excuses. I really believed in this company, they make it sound so amazing. It isn't. Terrible place to work. Trust me. You will regret it.
Pros
Off on weekends
Cons
Everything else.

Wheel Technician (Former Employee) - Heath, OH - March 10, 2022
I'd never work there again all everyone does talk bad and stab eachother in the back. The bosses didn't ever wanna do there jobs. They don't care about there employees at all. And the pay isn't good.
Pros
It's a job
Cons
Low pay bad bosses drama

Great training for unexperienced
Interior Repair (Current Employee) - Travel - March 2, 2022
Give a lot of opportunity to people that have little to no experience, and the potential to learn more than one skill/ department. If you put the work in it doesn't go unnoticed, and opens up more options for moving around in the company. Flexible when it comes to needing time off, and has plenty of OT if you want it. I do wish there was a 401k, but that will hopefully come soon. The company is very new, and growing quickly. Naturally that comes with some kinks that do get figured out.
Pros
Hr long lunch, Flexible time off
Cons
No 401k

Personal falta de capacitación
Auto Glass Technician (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - February 23, 2022

Relaxed environment, good hours decent pay
Body Technician (Current Employee) - Concord, NC - January 21, 2022
Relaxed environment, good hours decent pay. Absolutely room for advancement. The pay is the pay, no one is ever happy with their pay. Need more help but it comes with time
