Communication from the top down is very poor. I trust my direct management, but not really anyone higher.

Communication from the top down is very poor. I trust my direct management, but not really anyone higher. ICE has been going through a lot of changes and merges within the last two years and so everyone is trying to figure out what is going on, but it doesn't seem like a lot of the changes make sense, or are at least being communicated clearly. As a top performer on the team instead of being compensated fairly in the end of the year review I just take on additional work for others so that is pretty cool (not).

Great place to be!

ICE MT has a work culture that is far above any other company I've ever worked for in my over 40 years in the Mortgage Industry. All people are listened to, and when any concerns arise we take it very serious to incorporate change that improves our work/life balance. Profits Over People

The Provo office even before it was acquired by ICE lacked in fair honest compensation. Be prepared to use your high starting wage to leverage a new job in 9 months to a year. New hires were told that they were being hired at higher wages then the current employees who were training them and to keep quiet about it. Other employees moved to different departments within the company and were told they were lateral moves with no pay increases(i.e. from customer support to QA).The HR department is not on the side of the employee and is out to only protect the company and shield it from unhappy employees.In technical support they are currently overstaffed stateside. This has resulted in low pay increases across the board for most employees facing 0% to 3% raises.Lower level management has their hands tied by upper level management when it comes to being able to make decisions for their teams and higher preforming employees. The best thing this company has going for it is the lower level management, they truly care and want to take care of their people. Above them it does not seem to be the case.

Very Clicky and Political

Unless you get on the right side of certain people in power here and abide their every word (even when it doesn't make sense), you will be black-listed and never allowed any raise or promotion. Say one "wrong" thing to the wrong person (even if it's the truth and needs to be addressed) and you're done for. Upper management doesn't care about you. They don't care about the company, they only want to enforce stupid policies that don't make any sense. Their covid policies are ridiculous and just barely shy of requiring the vaccine, even when most states and counties are removing all requirements they once had. They require you to be in the office even though the last 2 years have proven we can work at home and be at least as effective as we once were in the office and there is no point. They make up stupid excuses that don't make sense and when you challenge them on it, you get more black-marks on your record.
