Loyalty Representative (Former Employee) – Live Oak, TX – June 21, 2019
Because Ikea is new to live oak, the management sucks! some of the managers have no idea what they're doing. If you are going to school then DO NOT apply. Instead of encouraging you and trying to work with your schedule, they will tell you your availability is "not working for the company" and find a way to make you quit. There are a lot of broken promises from managers and definitely is favoritism here.
Retail Foundation Leader (Former Employee) – Memphis, TN – July 15, 2019
After a decision was taken to restructure in 2015 IKEA was a different company. Most of my experience with IKEA was great. However that changed in the last few years, it is now a place where the managers and co-workers are all a bit uncertain about the future. I was given the opportunity to leave IKEA and I took it. If you are interested in working there, I would wait a bit longer, new country management will hopefully right the ship for the future and make it certain again. the
Never bored, always more work then can be done.
The uncertain feeling lingering over everyone at every level of the store.
