Be very cautious of working here.
Instructor (Former Employee) –  Newport News, VAApril 17, 2019
I worked at ILOVEKICKBOXING for good while. You will not have any benefits and in the end you will be taken advantage of. Your time is meaningless to the staff. If you wake up at 5 am and work a 16 hour shift you will not get overtime. In the beginning they (owners/managers) will make you feel great then slowly but surely downgrade everything you do until you’re miserable showing up to work.
Pros
Active job.
Cons
No breaks, no health care, no paid time off, no work life balance.

Owners and Managers did not know the business
Instructor (Former Employee) –  Brighton, MIApril 6, 2019
Managers and owners were not knowledgeable about the business and was going against corporate standards. Job information was all over the place, and when going to corporate training they would always tell them that the employees did not want to do it that way.
Pros
Getting to know and have relationships with the members
Cons
Mangers and Owner

Owners are really neurotic
Franchise Manager (Current Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVMarch 30, 2019
If you can’t afford to open a business then dont, these people swear they can have a quick return and then things do not happen that way and they transfer their stress to their employees. It’s pretty sad, they let anyone open a franchise, I suggest you find another job, they are not even certified.
Pros
Free workouts
Cons
Micro management to the highest degree

Poor Management
Fitness/Kickboxing Instructor (Former Employee) –  Miramar, FLMarch 30, 2019
Worked at Miramar & Coral Springs location, very unprofessional and competitive work environment. The managers are so careless and need more experience. Expect to be working at home with no pay extra, constantly on social media always active. Team work is not even a question. Manager would cuss you out. when a disagreement takes place. The assistant manager. and general managers are sisters so there's no room for growth. It consumes your life and happiness.
Pros
Good pay, plus commission
Cons
Unprofessional, Toxic, Stressful, Draining

Lack of Management, With Unrealistic Sales Goals
Appointment Setter (Former Employee) –  Aurora, ILMarch 28, 2019
Worked as an entry level appointment setter. Enjoyed working with gym members, but felt discconected with management. Was not allowed to attend club meetings, and the welfare of trainers were more important than appointment setter staff. Lack of organization, and deception in regards to membership prices. Warning: involves sales.

Good temp job, not long term though. Dont go to Bayport
Kickboxing Instructor (Former Employee) –  Bayport, NYMarch 18, 2019
When i first started at ILKB things were amazing, work was fun, and the focus was always on the members them selves, it was an exciting job. But once the original team at ILKB bayport left one by one. the overall experience dropped DRASTICALLY. Management changed and the new girl did not care for the members one bit, everything became about the money and the dream job this once was became a prison. Members saw it and fellow instructors did as well, members even went as far as walking away from studio and skipping class if they saw it was her teaching from outside the door. New manager loved starting drama and spreading rumors about not just the members but fellow instructors as well. work became very unprofessional when she was placed in a position of authority, and was promoted solely due to connections she had in HQ and had no problem discussing that out loud several times while on shift together before classes started. Also shows favoritism to both members and employees. if you show disagreement with what she says or stands for (money>members) she tries getting you in trouble, and if your a member threatens to revoke membership. Says shes open to criticism but doesn't listen when you have ideas or stress concern on certain matters.

The company itself is great and would recommend working for it if looking for different experience, just not the Bayport location.

Franchise Manager (Former Employee) –  Savage, MNFebruary 25, 2019
This company tends to be dishonest and withholding of what they are providing. They ask employees to be and do it all with little pay and no qualifications.

Hours of Fun and Intensity
Kickboxing/Fitness Instructor (Former Employee) –  Watchung, NJJanuary 28, 2019
iLoveKickboxing was my first introduction to getting into fitness and it has been nothing but AMAZING!! The energy the studios provide and the passion/commitment the members have to their fitness goals is SO motivating! Not only did it help me get into the best shape I've ever been in, but it's also given me a newfound confidence I never had before! You'll never have a bad day at the studio! Tasks are, but not limited to; reaching out to members, membership signups of course, being the best fitness instructor you can be while providing motivation as well as feedback, building our fit-fam and so much more! Best part of all you get to wear gym clothes and be barefoot all day!. I find the most challenging part to be teaching class and speaking at the same time. It's harder than it looks but so much fun!
My favorite part about working for this company is the amount of gratitude our members have towards us for helping them get to their goals and nothing feels better than that appreciation
Pros
get to wear leggings, be barefoot, this is a family
Cons
not too many breaks, can get exhausting if not well rested

hardest part is finding work home life balance and then not being trusted to do the job I was hired to do. It is a franchise but not all areas are the same and you have to be able to make adjustments based on clients
Pros
fun place to work
