Great Place to Start, but maybe not to finish
Operations Supervisor (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - August 6, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIndeed Flex is not a new company, but is new to the US. It's a great place to cut your teeth if you're wanting to hop into the Tech/ Staffing industry. Things to be cautious of are; 1. Lack of direction- Seems to get lost somewhere between SLT and Mid-Senior Management. 2. Interdepartmental collaboration- Organizational Design and structure is flawed and lacks oversight and control. 3. Lack of career progression- New senior positions are consistently designed to welcome senior sister company staff, often resulting in competing interests instead of the CEO's focus on the Flex way. Perks- Great benefits, cool offices, and bonuses paid out twice year. I would highly recommend this company if you are new and you need to get some "Startup Tech" experience but would advise mid to senior-experienced people to look for a company that can provide them with a career roadmap and limits the amount of politics that occur at every level.

It is simple, easy work
UnArmed Security Officer (Current Employee) - Fontana, CA - October 16, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Absolutely to the EXTREME Nothing. When I see a job that I like, I click on it, only to have the same exact same question asked over and over again, I stop counting after three 3 times, I am over it leave me the He'll Alone until you guys fix that. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Where I am right now, is only a Temp Job for a few months, then they find me other work within the company and accounts they have, but I am looking for permanent 40hrs, driving to one location then back home. I can't afford driving all over town to get my 40hrs. I would need more pay. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The work environment is good, although the employees that come to relive me need to be more on time than they are. and culture here is OK I guess, I really don't understand the question. What is a typical day like for you at the company? I sit at my post waiting for employees to come into my area in a Forklift or by walking into my area. They must have a sticker on their badge to enter my area, they have to sign their name, date, supervisors name, then have to sign out.

Seemed good at first
Flex Associate (Former Employee) - San Antonio, TX - August 1, 2023
It's a great business model, and I believed they would be helpful. However I really only received a lot of run around. Many of the people assessing you seemed very unprepared themselves. You gain access to many available jobs but don't receive adequate processing to get to the positions.

Operations Executive (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - June 18, 2023
The company is nice you get most but not all the almost the same perks as Indeed employees. You gave to kiss butt to move up in the company like most others

They will love bomb you and the suck the life out of you.
Operations (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - June 12, 2023
This company compared to other companies out there is not bad. However, don't hold your breath for your salary, increases, bonuses etc to reflect your actual efforts on the daily. Was promised a promotion that never came, was made to run in circles to prove myself to then provide no promotion, no significant salary increase and also, people were laid off. More responsibility was added with NO compensation to reflect the new responsibilities. Do your job, get your check and don't go the extra mile. It will not be worth it.
Pros
Baristas, food all complimentary. PTO.
Cons
Sick Days is only 7. No promotions, No salary increases, nothing to hold on.

Good when they have shifts, hardly have any
Employee (Current Employee) - Atlanta, GA - June 6, 2023
Always get paid on time but there are little to no shifts to work. Customer support is slow , sometimes responding in a week. I will say, all the shifts that I worked had great managers.

Run away
Recruiting Manager (Former Employee) - Ontario, CA - May 24, 2023
They released the app in California with no prior knowledge of the laws of the state. So many things were wrong with the app and it would cause confusion with the employees and clients, the recruiters would get the short end of the stick. Managers won't listen to feedback and just do as they please. On top of that, everyone wanted to BE the manager and nobody was on the same page, all upper management was giving different directions to employees
Pros
Sister company of Ineed
Cons
Management, lack of respect for employees, defective app

Onboarding Specialist (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - May 16, 2023
Flex claims to be something different/special in comparison to other job placement services... but they are no different... just a body shop pushing jobs to low skill workforce.

Highly stressful and clueless leadership
Operations (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - April 25, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Very nice and modern office workspace What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Zero strategy or roadmap, which means every day is a 100% reactionary emergency that is never fully resolved before the next emergency erupts. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Highly stressful and critically under-resourced. What is a typical day like for you at the company? 1) Make a plan for the day. 2) Discard the plan and instead focus on whatever emergency product or client situation that has suddenly gone sideways.

A sliver of what it once was...
Recruiter (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - April 7, 2023
Once one of the founders left the company and a new GM came in from a staffing agency, the place went downhill fast. It went from being an open, inclusive, agile environment to a very gossipy and ruthless workplace. There are office politics running rampant and teams don't work together anymore. If you're in the "in group" you don't have to do your job and you don't get penalized. Meanwhile they cut 16% of people without any rhyme or reason and it seems like now all the good workers are gone.
Pros
Free lunch. Enough PTO to forget how bad it's gotten here.
Cons
Miscommunication, laid off all remote ppl, gossipy, no HR help
