Varies from office to office. Seems to be based of how the local manager picks the vendors
Seattle has lots of great food and catered lunches
It's great, there is a wide variety of food in the Seattle office!
In Austin, the food is cooked daily (breakfast and lunch), is free, and is exceptional. There are options for every type of diet. It was a factor in my decision to work here!
Between meals, there are dozens of different types of drinks and snacks. Healthy options and otherwise.
Some offices (Austin HQ, San Francisco, Seattle, Tokyo Ebisu, Tokyo Meguro, maybe others) serve free lunch from Monday to Friday. Austin has a big in-house cafeteria with lots of options, which is quite good. Seattle and San Francisco do external catering which is pretty good. Tokyo does external catering that is just okay
Almost no companies in Japan offer free lunches, so it's understandable that it's not as polished an offering, but it's decidedly not at the level of the US offices.
