Banking hours allow a good work life balance and they make it very easy to take time off the management is very friendly and responsive to any questions you might have

The executives are completely detached from everything that happens in the individual departments. There is little to no training in most roles then you are expected to work insane hours or consistently be months behind. I say job security is great because I have witnessed others do little to no work for years with zero consequences.

Executive leadership is totally unaware of what happens in the individual departments. Unfortunately, the company still feels like an good old good club.

This is specific to the collateral department. What I wish knew before I accepted the position:•You stay until the work is done each day and since they staff just under the adequate number of employees to do the job a typical workday is 8.5-9.5 hours. Taking a lunch or a break means you and your teammates have to work later so you don’t take a lunch or a break. •Because you never know when you’ll be done with work making plans M-F is challenging. •You can’t take off work at the beginning or the end of the month. The remainder of the month no more than 1 person can take off on the same day (think of how many holidays fall at the end/beginning of the month).•There is no leadership at this office, literally no one is in a supervisory role. The boss isn’t present in any sense. Most staff haven’t even met her. •Work stations aren’t conducive to good posture nor are there adequate supplies, space or lighting to do your job -but it doesn’t matter you do it anyway. •It’s a small department and the environment is toxic. They don’t like happy/positive people and will suck your happiness out of you.

I worked for this company for almost 5 years. I worked part time while going to school. I finished school and applied for 4 different positions. One actually pertained to my degree and they passed me over each time. They offered educational assistance which was great but you had to stay 1 year after your last semester or you had to pay it back. Why make this rule if you won’t allow your employees to move up in the company and use their degree? It was so frustrating. They hired someone from outside the company. I even had a glowing recommendation from a close coworker who had moved to that department. Dead end job and dead end company. Benefits were not bad but I wanted to grow my skill set not stay in the same position. Sadly, they only let certain people grow their careers. I also was getting paid the same amount as new tellers with no experience.
