I would have a review of each department, ensure we are compliant and make the necessary changes for improvement. Whether it be from hiring new supervisors and staff to changes in job descriptions and duties. I will make sure everyone is paid fairly and work is evenly distributed among employees. I would communicate more often with staff and address complaints. Also, provide better health care and have properly trained staff who show compassion, patience and understanding of each patient. I would monitor the third party billing activity closely. I will make sure the facility is clean and safe for patients and staff. I would enforce patient confidentiality, protection of PHI and address HIPAA violations with the appropriate course of action.
