Low compensation
Lead Consultant (Current Employee) –  New JerseyJanuary 21, 2019
Infosys is a nice company to work for, but if you work off-site at as a contractor you will be dealing with the environment and rules of the contractor. My issue with Infosys is the pay. It seems they have no need for professional experienced software developers. Hire someone with enough skill to get the work done, even if its developed at a junior level. The pay I was offered is less then what I made over 13 years ago. The best I can do, after declining the position was to be offered the same pay I made 12 years ago, except with less benefits. I am at a contractors site, so maybe this doesn't apply to someone working physically at Infosys, but I'm not much in contact with Infosys managers so I can't speak much for the management.
Pros
Cant think of any at the moment
Cons
Very low pay

Good Work Life Balance Bad Pay Structure
Technology Analyst (Current Employee) –  San Jose, CAJanuary 21, 2019
A Typical Day in Infosys includes lot of Meetings, your assigned Works and follow ups for on going issues.

You will be learning the Business culture, get a chance to work in Huge Clients with Good amount of Data volume , but managers are more focus on hard work than smart work.

Hardest Part of Job is like any Service based companies Managers Promise much more to client than the Team able to deliver in the given Time Periord which will make life harder. With more micro management you sometimes feel staying in a more restrictive space and the Pay structure just makes life worse
Pros
Wfh, No Dress Culture, No Fix timing to come to Office, Can take Meetings from Home, but have to maintain the Working hours
Cons
Very Bad Pay Structure, Very Hard to get Promotions, Many Projects still work in Old Technologies, Internal upskilling even though promoted is not Rewarded by giving new Project work

Associate Manager-Recruitment (Former Employee) –  Plano, TXJanuary 16, 2019
There was no work/life balance. Lot of hours and travel that was not shared during the interview process. Was only there for a short period due to those reasons.

1 Year Not Well Spent
Lead QA Analyst (Former Employee) –  Phoenix, AZJanuary 14, 2019
Learned nothing from the experience.
Claimed to be agile when they were clearly waterfall (v-model).
Management was a mess, constant office politics.
Get there at 9, lunchbreak, leave at 5. last hour nothing ever got done.
Hardest part of the job: mustering up the strength to keep working for non decent people.
Most enjoyable part: Leaving.
Never got my medical insurance even though it was coming out of my paycheck.
Had to make time to deal with meetings in India after work.

Good job security but no career growth
Lead Consultant - Oracle Practice (Current Employee) –  St. Louis, MOJanuary 13, 2019
Infosys offers good job security but no career growth. Work life balance could be an issue in some projects due to tight project timelines. Onsite-Offshore model requires working late on most days.

Contracted Work
A/V Technician (Former Employee) –  Raleigh, NCJanuary 6, 2019
Contracted work that I provided to InfoSys. Great place to work and great atmosphere. Decent management. Since I was only contracted to work for them short term, I can't speak on permanent hire benefits.

• Implemented industry standard installations of specialized large screen monitors, audio speakers and cameras for clients
• Implementation of network cabling standard installations for specific devices needing access to the network
• Productively communicate with team, encouraging proactivity to efficiently complete projects
• Verified integrity of all installations ensuring installation is working properly
Pros
Aesthetically appealing, moderately active, business environment.
Cons
None.

Infosys is Ok but it is located outside the US
Desktop Systems Engineer, Harley-Davidson (Former Employee) –  Kansas City, MOJanuary 4, 2019
The HQ being located in India made it difficult to work there. There was no feedback from my direct boss about the expectations of the client and there was a disconnect from the company. HR was never available to me because of the time difference.
Pros
Great pay
Cons
HQ in India

A company on a downward spiral
Lead Consultant (Current Employee) –  Franklin, WIJanuary 3, 2019
Infosys has lost it's edge in the competitive world. The company isn't able to re-invent and re-establish itself in the fast changing technology world and the latest spat with it's meritorious ex-CEO, the writing is on the wall of the company's slow yet sure demise.

Great place to learn, not so great to grow
Consultant, Data & Analytics (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CADecember 28, 2018
Infosys is huge! As you may already know, its an Indian firm but looking to grow pretty aggressively and hire North Americans in order to navigate upstream in the consulting industry. That, of course, means a huge cultural shift in mindset and values, something that does not come without occasional misunderstandings.

I spent 4+ years with Infosys and was rotated through several clients, some small and some large. The range of projects was rewarding, as well as the opportunity to take on different roles. Infosys is also huge on training ad will make reasonable efforts to upskill its employees. However, as with all consulting firms, there is always the chance of "forcing" a fit, which can be a bit dangerous for both clients and employees, as well as carry a degree of reputational risk for the firm.

All in all, a good place to work. I do believe it has its work cut out to navigate upstream in the consulting value chain to better compete with the Accentures, McKinseys and Deloittes, especially as these firms can more easily build up their own IT implementation services, as well as enjoy their hard-fought status as top-tier consultancies with regards to strategy.
Pros
Good training and employee development
Cons
Limited room for growth and advancement

No Growth Opportunities
Senior Systems Engineer (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXDecember 26, 2018
As an Indian company, the employees might get a lot of learning resources and growth opportunities in India. However, it is not the same in the US. Infosys Public Services mainly focuses on government projects. The employees do not have much choice to decide where and which project to work for. They will most likely inform you five days before you have to move to another state. When you move to a state where the living costs are lower, they will reduce the salaries a lot; when you move to a state where the living costs are higher, they may not increase the salaries. There is no work-life balance. The managers often ask the employees to work overtime and on weekends. You will not get time to learn things.
Pros
Flexible working hours
Cons
No work-life balance; No promotion; Low salaries; Relocation; Communication
