In-Store Shopper in Rockville, MD
Was great until they lost Whole Foods
I used to love working for instacart until they lost whole foods as a client. When the changed stores it went down hill because it was a bigger store more products, way less pay. Even the managers couldn't shop in the store at the asked amount of time and yet it was required that we be fast, with little room for mistakes and high chance of losing your job for those small mistakes.

Just need to pay more. But I love the flexiblity. If you pick the correct batches, you can make alot of money. The app runs your battery down so make sure your phone is charged.

Mostly easy work, but the Promos don't add up
At first it was a great combo of making my own schedule/hours, getting great ratings and tips, but also the fact that I don't have actual managers watching my every move.
That being said, I just wish I could get paid for the time I have to travel from home to the store... because that would make a huge difference in my motivation to be a full-time shopper. Also, they sometimes have promos for $60-$65 or more, if you complete a certain amount of batches in a day. But it doesn't always add up, and they say that money is in addition to what you make that day, but... LIES!

Poor company to work for
Too many changes with no actual follow through or follow up. Feedback or actually reaching someone to talk to is very difficult. Flexible hours but inconsistent pay.

Love my job
I really enjoy being a shopper. I have a sense of fulfillment as I am able to do a service for people that may or may not be able to do on their own. I always feel appreciated by my customers. I do wish the mileage pay was a bit more, however I do like when they send me promotions to earn more money.
