In-Store Shopper in Sterling, VA

The shopper app is constantly buggy with is more of an annoyance than anything, however upper level management makes it clear they have never shopped before with some of the decisions they make.

Slow at times and no support. You work hard no support when needed no batches when needed. The hours are great and sometimes i make good money but they low ball pay you and allow customers to not tip thats not good at all

Work is awesome. Making more than I usually do working full time. Very fun to shop for others. Tips are usually good. Great exercise. Best tip is to have a cart to help with items.

I have been doing Instacart for 6 months now. I enjoy driving and grocery shopping so it is a fairly enjoyable job for me. It is good excersice and for the most part is a very enjoyable job. The major issue is that the company does not care about their employees. It is a very independent job so perhaps that's just something that comes with having control over your hours. But the customer support is very unhelpful. They are often very difficult to contact and when you are able to they have been completely unhelpful across the board. The company clearly does not care about their employees. That being said I enjoy work as long as I do not encounter any problems. It is a good job for someone who needs extra cash and is willing to handle having little assistance.
Personal Shopper in Phoenix, AZ

Started at the beginning of COVID and have shopped for them ever since. You are not an actual employee so you don't get some of the perks of a salaried position. Flexibility is amazing and you can chose when and where you want to work which is nice. I also was given a few perks during the last year which included cash bonuses and free groceries. That being said......1. Shopping for people is stressful and stores are consistently out of items meaning you have to contact customers on every order. 2. Wear and tear on your car is terrible.3. Pay is completely dependent on tips and some days those can be quite small.4. ICs rating system is complete garbage. If someone rates you anything less than 5stars you might as well quit. 5. Store employees definitely don't like shoppers. This gig is great if you are desperate for money in the short term but at the end of the day this isn't a career and there is absolutely zero chance of promotion in the company.
