Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Personal Shopper in Instacart
Flexible, self employment
Personal shopper Shopper (Current Employee) - Tysons Corner, VA - June 25, 2023
The flexability, & abolity to accept jobs you want. Where you want makes the job worth staying with. The pay is good sometimes, not so much others. If they hire a bunch of new people shops drop...drastically. hard on your car. They dont take taxes out so expect to owe irs at end of year. Goo way to travel & see the country.
Pros
Flexability
Cons
Hard on car, taxes

Good for filling gaps in employment.
Personal Shopper (Current Employee) - Gaithersburg, MD - October 12, 2021
Pay has decreased tremendously since new CEO started in August 2021. Pay does not reflect the labor required to complete each batch. Flexibility is the main perk for me.
Pros
Make your own schedule
Cons
Low pay

flexible schedule you choose when you want to work
Personal Shopper and Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Oregon - August 21, 2023
the management is very poor. they create all kinds of "games" that you have to accomplish in order to remain in good standing and most of them are impossible to achieve. people who work full-time are given special and more priviledges than those who work part-time even though we work just as hard. Every three months you have to start all over accumulating batches in order to remain in good standing so if you are sick (like I was with covid for a month) you lose and start at the bottom even though I have been working for Instacart for over three years. Too many stupid requirements and hoops to jump through in order to keep a good standing. This company doesn't reward based on hard work and customer comments.
Pros
flexible hours and days
Cons
management, no way of contacting anyone with concerns, nothing ever changes no matter how many times you tell them it isn't working
