Management and the people you work with are like family. If you are a hard worker, self-motivated, and want to make a true impact on students lives IEC us the place to be.

Great place to work
Accounting (Current Employee) –  Irvine, CAOctober 30, 2018
IEC is awesome! Lots of recognition, lots of accolades for employees.
Salary is competitive with other education companies. Lots of good people. Our CEO is fantastic and a visionary, before he came to IEC, we had nothing, now we have a thriving business.

IEC requires you to work, perform and deliver results. If you dont like to do that you will not like it here.

IEC is for me!
Pros
Results oriented company, lots of hard work and lots of recognition. Great benefits
Cons
None! Ok no pet insurance, would like to have that

All about the results
Campus President (Current Employee) –  FloridaSeptember 23, 2018
all about the results.. Sr. Management are not independent thinkers...they are yes men to the CEO that thinks the culture is awesome but in actuality is not what he believes it to be....The company operates as the top believes it should be and true feedback is never really considered because it never gets the attention it should.

The company has a ton of talent ...due to all the recent closures in The industry. If the industry has a resurgence...the company is a prime picking ground for those that need talent!

Horrible place to work at, avoid avoid avoid
Medical Instructor (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLSeptember 15, 2018
Management and higher ups are highly unqualified and unorganized, supplies and equipment often lacking, admissions will accept just about anyone with a pulse. I've had students who were drug addicts with felonies, homeless and pulled off the street and enrolled in promise of success and money. Dept of education should investigate for fraudulent activities. Drop out rate is high because they keep enrolling the same population pool. Learning is not a priority of the school but high enrollment and retention goals are, numbers matter most and good instructors are not valued as they should.
Pros
some good co-workers
Cons
low pay, no benefits, problem students, no supplies, unorganized.

Change Over Facility
Instructor (Former Employee) –  Huntington Park, CAApril 11, 2018
A typical day begins teaching at the assigned hours. There are two breaks for 20 minutes each however the first one in the morning or the last break at the evening shift is the only actual break you get.

What I've learned is that faculty turnovers are high, mostly because of pay raises that are done based on your work and time in never happens.

You have to find supplies where ever they're at and usually there is never enough.

Student drops are high because they don't supply the proper equipment.

The only good part is seeing a student actually graduate and get hired, but that always depends on the instructors ability to encourage them.

Instructors do the core work, but it is only the administrative staff that gets the credit and raises.

It's sad
Pros
Lunch is provided only during in house training
Cons
no supplies or properly working equipment

Upper Management is inconsistent and not skilled at leadership. talks a lot about culture, etc, but does not practice what is preached. Good schools, horrible leadership at Corp office.

Reactionary Leadership and Lacks Vision
Employee (Current Employee) –  FloridaJune 22, 2017
Focus and expectations change daily. No accountability at corporate level - disconnected from field. There is no onboarding or training for new hires. Results in very high turn-over at the local level. Turn-over is resulting in a very poor environment. Staff is not prepared for daily operations and needs. Company is consistently seeking top talent, but does not work at keeping the top talent. Promotional opportunities are minimal due to a lack of a developmental culture. The company operates in a grey area which is concerning due to the oversight of Ed and the accrediting bodies. Corporate officers are not aligned on vision; nor are they aligned on strategy. The company has a very entropic leadership style. Verticals continue to clash over what is right and what is wrong.
Pros
Wages are competitive and benefits are fine
Cons
Not a long term career. High level of churn and not training.

Productive place to work, however not a stable job
anonymous (Former Employee) –  South FloridaMay 23, 2015
I enjoyed working with all the employees, however there are massive lay offs often. Really all about numbers and employees are not valued. Communication with the Vice Presidents and CEO is not delivered in a timely manner unless they are going to do a lay off. I really enjoyed who I worked for however due to an unstable environment to work for its not a safe place to work because you dont know when they will let you go. Also when lay offs occur they do not pay severance. Benefits are not good as well.
Pros
Employees get along
Cons
Massive lay offs with no Severance pay
