Yes ALOT. We are on 12s at the moment (since March) Meaning 4 days 12hrs and depending on your shift either Mon or Fri is 8hrs. We have advance notice.
Yep, and mandatory if the person that comes in to relieve you does not come to work or calls in at the last minute. Nothing worse than having plans after an eight hour shift and than be told you need to work a twelve because someone called in at the last minute. Can't leave your machine until your replacement shows. Guess that's part of the reason they pay so well. Also 12 hour shifts if one of the three shifts is taking time off or on vacation.
