Forward thinking and People Focused
Been with the company close to 8yrs. The environment is very collaborative and team-oriented. It is an open environment, which to some can be difficult to focus, but it does encourage more open communication. The CEO is a visionary who is very invested in making sure that people are growing, improving, and engaged. Management is good, but there is always room for improvement, and the company invests a lot of time in making sure they have the tools needed. There are opportunities for growth and the team is open to working with you to get you where you want to go. When I started, there was no training or on-boarding program and now the company has that, so it is not as "sink or swim" as it was before. The company doubled in size in 2015 and has gone through a transition and growing pains phase, as all do when they grow, and I believe it is in a good place and is more unified in focus. This is a fast paced, changing environment, so if you like slow, steady, and predictable... this might not be the right place for you. This is a global company that trades food items, so you are very interconnected and dialed in with the global atmousphere, whether is it political shifts, natural disasters,
changes in food supply and demand, or changes in the way people relate to food, etc. There is always something new to learn and challenge to solve, so you are never bored. The community is very diverse and everyone is from somewhere else, which I like.
diverse, people-focused, forward thinking, creative
open air environment can be difficult for some
