Would not recommed this company to anyone
Market General Manager (Former Employee) –  Doylestown, PAAugust 9, 2018
Miss lead you on regular basis. Have a purpose and value program that they do not follow. They expect the employees to follow this but management does not. Not sure if owner of company knows what his management team is doing to the company. I would not suggest this company to anyone, even if you really need a job.
Pros
Didn't find any in my time there
Cons
Management lies to you with a smile and straight face.

Route sales manager (Current Employee) –  Hallandale Beach, FLJuly 30, 2018
Always an opportunity for advancement, hard but fair work and job security. Demands a hard working attitude, but greatly rewards those who are willing to go the extra mile.

Driver (Current Employee) –  Ventura, CAJuly 21, 2018
Easy job if you have common sense. A lot of lifting involved. Just have to be ready to go right from the start. Driving around all day and customer service.

Not consistent on benefits and time off
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Lake Zurich, ILJuly 11, 2018
You will get hired on They will say you have two weeks vacation and sick time. But if you look on the company webpage at your personal balance for time off it will say you have a certain balance but it’s not set in stone. it’s still at managers discretion! So it’s not like other companies that give you a certain amount of time off and you can use them whenever you want. it set up for favoritism kind of situation. they can pick and choose who can have time off and who can’t! Also route drivers and hot shot drivers are given a very heavy and inconsistent workload. For the most part it’s a decent company but how it is set up on the local Level is they hire and fire people extremely quick very fast turnover rate. Too many supervisors and managers trying to make decisions and making the whole situation super confusing
Cons
Inconsistency in management and no leadership

More direction needed for employees as well as management and team. This job did promote from within and allowed me to pursue a higher position. The work load and stress was high.

Battery Delivery Driver (Former Employee) –  Memphis, TNJune 18, 2018
I worked there for almost six years. It was very family oriented at first, but then the business was sold to corporate. And then it all changed and I was eventually let go over paperwork issues. But I'm ready for a new horizon. Something completely different. I worked very hard at that place and it was time for a change.

Route Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKJune 18, 2018
No room for family or flexibility. Very poor management skills. To much work load for the amount of employees. But overall a great outlook and the company’s perspective and mission within the company. They have great customer service and customer relationships that is not matched. They provide dependability to everyone when it comes to there product.

Don’t work in the warehouse
Warehouse associate (Former Employee) –  Lake Zurich, ILMay 18, 2018
This company is very top-heavy. Warehouse manager is very inexperienced and shows favoritism and create an even work loads. If you plan on working for interstate become a route driver. They will also lie to you during the interviewing process and tell you the average warehouse employee works in the warehouse for about seven years. The honest truth the average employee life spanned is less than six months.
Cons
Warehouse manager is in an experienced and does not know how to lead a team

Whatever you do don't get hurt while on the job. Management does not care about their employees. It also helps if you are related to management or friends with management.

Great Work Place
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXApril 17, 2018
Interstate Batteries is an amazing work place, there culture and atmosphere is wonderful. You feel right at home as soon as you get to work. The only thing is they have a high turn over rate and seem to lay people off regularly so you are constantly worried about that. But other than that they are an amazing company to work for.

Operations Manager (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXMarch 6, 2018
Overall its a very good culture. The people in the corporate office enjoy a lot of perks that don't get filtered down to the outside field people but that's minor. A lot of nice people.
