Just another greedy federal contractor that does not care much about their workforce

A small federal contracting company that started in the owner's garage with just a few people. Too bad over the years, the company has become greedy and inefficient. As it is typical in these 8(a) companies; their management enjoys all the benefits, work/life balance, vacation, flexible schedule, etc. Non managerial employees are not lucky and they're usually overworked and with limited opportunities for advancement. HR is a joke, run by a couple of people who have no knowledge about workplace laws or regulations and often violate mandates such as COBRA and the ADA; but they're buddies with the owner, so their loyalty keeps them employed.
The call centers they run are the worst, run like sweatshops and often they hire 2-3 people to do the work of 6, while management spends long hours at lunch, running errands or shopping.
Stay away or plan to work there for one year maximum, until you find something better.
