Horrible, disorganized, unprofessional, stay far away
Desktop Engineer (Former Employee) - Elk Grove Village, IL - August 11, 2023
Do not agree to any overtime or oncall work, you will have to beg for your money. Missed payments on multiple occasions. Communication is nonexistent once you’re hired, no one cares to pick up their phone or respond to emails. This company is disorganized and unprofessional. Stay far away, save yourself the frustration.
Pros
None
Cons
Missed payments, lack of communication

Would not recommend
Level II Technician (Former Employee) - Fremont, CA - April 24, 2023
I was hired back in March and after working onsite I was let go without any explanation. The client was unaware of anything. When contacting Iron Systems for answers I would go straight to vm and when someone did answer, i still didnt get a clear reason behind my contract being pulled. Very unprofessional as well as unjust. Would not recommend at all.

What communications?
Desktop Support Technician (Current Employee) - Minneapolis, MN - June 4, 2022
I was hired by them to work for a Managed IT company, and was pretty much dumped into the job and other than contacting their help desk, I got have no support or contact, when I first started there was a weekly Group Teams meeting with our so called contact and then, that person stopped showing up to the meeting. Tried to reach out to this person a couple of times, and nothing, They do provide some decent medical benefits One thing they didn't tell us until Orientation is, 6 days of vacation a year and NO paid holidays. Not great at communicating with their employee's Not the best employer, but at least they don't micromanage
Pros
No Micromanaging, No writing up GOals
Cons
No communications from so called management

Iron Systems insights
Areas for improvement
- Inclusive work environment
- Trust in colleagues
- Support from manager
This is a terribly managed company. They have no clue what they are doing and do not support their employees.
Level III IT Technician (Former Employee) - Tucson, AZ - January 28, 2022
I only worked for this company for a few months. I only remained there that long because I was looking for a different job within a few days of starting here. It's quickly evident that employees are not supported by management and they are not given the tools or access necessary to get the job done.
Pros
The pay is good enough for only a few house and you have a couple of days off during the week, no weekend shifts
Cons
No support, you will not be given access to things needed on a daily basis, have to wait for a response from employees in India, tasks take days to resolve rather than minutes which makes the client disappointed

Terrible place
Manager on Duty (Former Employee) - Fremont, CA - February 27, 2020
Not a conducive place to work. Terrible environment. Dirty location. No sense of management. No respect to employees. Expected to work odd hours. CEO is out of his mind.

the easiest part was the quality control of the orders being shipped
Pros

Great Job
IT Support Specialist (Former Employee) - Alameda, CA - April 24, 2018
I feel that this job is a good place for me to learn new skills and interconnect with clients. I have a 3 month contract with this company and the work environment is a challenge for me to put my skills to the test and advance my skill sets.

Stressful environment at times, but overall okay
RMA TECHNICIAN / CO-ORDINATOR (Former Employee) - Fremont, CA - September 13, 2017
Not really much to tell as long as everyone is doing their job. However, i feel that the work distribution wasn't fair as per the pay provided. especially when you are working like a dog the whole time while your co workers are idling around the whole day doing practically nothing.

Fun place to work, but Sr Mgmt incompetent
Staff (Former Employee) - Fremont, CA - March 21, 2017
The staff at this company were fun to work with and were hard working. We worked together to accomplish company goals, and did this as a team. We went out as a team and celebrated many holidays throughout the year.
The executive management were clueless on how to manage people and had crazy expectations. It was a wonder how this company survives.
Pros
Fun/friendly staff
Cons
Executive staff

Perfect place to work if you dedicate your life to just work..
Material Handler (Former Employee) - San Jose, CA - July 29, 2015
The owner is probably the only good thing going in that company. Other than that, the Management there is the worst i seen ever. The pay is good and they give a pretty good amount of breaks. But when something goes wrong due to lack of procedure consistency, it's never the manager's fault. Some employee will be his/her scapegoat. I seen many people quit during my time due to management's lack of processes and honesty. Promotions are given out to people's drinking buddy and the company pays for it by losing accounts and revenue due to their lack of experience. I hear its improving but i still wouldnt recommend it to anyone looking to improve their career.
