Turnover High | Culture Stinks | Company is struggling | People Desperate to Leave
Recruiter (Former Employee) –  Littleton, COSeptember 4, 2019
I thought I had seen bad companies until I started working at ISYS Technologies. I highly recommend any recruiter who is considering working at this company, regardless of what they try to sell you, ask them about their metrics, their turnover problem and why they seem to have a hard time keeping recruiters from leaving. It's all because it is a nightmare working at ISYS TECHNOLOGIES.

Poor Faith CEO and HR Manager Recruitment
Applicant (Former Employee) –  Brea, CAAugust 22, 2018
This company cannot discern talent and quality prospective employees in their recruitment.
The CEO presents as flippant, insensitive, exhibits poor faith business, is condescending, and talks down to applicants the human resource manager wouldn’t know chaff from barley.
Don’t apply. Let them sink.
Pros
Emphatically Zero

Deputy Team Lead (Former Employee) –  Littleton, COApril 23, 2018
I worked for Isys on a fairly short term project quite a while ago so I am not sure my review is relevant. When I worked for them, I was satisfied with the company.

Cyber Security Vulnerability Manger Lead (Current Employee) –  Colorado Springs, COApril 9, 2018
Company stays in touch, get together, e-mails, and will make the effort to keep you employed with them. The CEO will fight for her people, the PM's make sure they try to keep the workers happy to a point, it is really about the Prime Contractor and how you get along and if there is politics involved, ISYS is a good company, fair wages, fair assessments.
Pros
family feel
Cons
need to understand concerns beter

goverment contractor
Communications Systems Engineer (Former Employee) –  Colorado Springs, COMarch 13, 2018
Benefits and pay are well within industry standards. Recruitment and management are not always on the same page. Government agency supported did not define requirements well at all and employees will ultimately pay for improper due diligence on government's part.

Fair weather friend - drops employees hwo are not actively employed
Contingent Employee - Database Programmer (Former Employee) –  Page, AZJanuary 15, 2018
I happened to have skills they desperately needed. They begged and pleaded for me to take the position, paid a premium and covered housing costs. I was literally abandoned while working. The manager rarely contacted me. When the contract was finished they wanted to send me over half the continent away with no moving help and an unstated salary offer. Needless to say I didn't accept the "offer."

Poor Program Manager
Senior Web Developer (Current Employee) –  Bellevue, NEOctober 30, 2017
The supervisor was great, but he had appointed a poor program manager, who made life miserable. Hours were long, and the work was very stressful, due to the hours

Processes are unlike any I have seen/worked with before
Recruiting Department (Former Employee) –  Littleton, COJune 22, 2017
This company has been around for over 15 years. Their recruitment methods are very antiquated, which keep them from growing. This has caused a loss of frustration and recruitment help. They also have a very bizarre method/process of recruitment, which includes making candidates contingent job offers before even being submitted to jobs. The submission process itself is extremely time-consuming and arduous, and results in losing out on hires. Necessary tools for recruitment are not financed or encouranged, resulting in less-than-stellar sourcing and an unhappy recruiter work force. Nice co-workers, but poor culture.
Pros
CEO provides beverages
Cons
Benefits are lackluster, old fashioned recruiting processes, leadership doesn't listen to the needs of recruiting dept.

Please don't apply to any openings there internally
Recruiter (Former Employee) –  Littleton, COJanuary 30, 2017
I do NOT approve of the CEO's and management decision-making. Worked there twice and it's still a very unhealthy work environment. No communication or lack of.
Treat employees unfairly and also with favoritism.
You can only voice your opinions so many times without feeling you are a part of a team or even trying to help the organization with its recent challenges.
Poor decisions on hiring internal recruiters and overpaying them to keep them.
Benefits have been getting worse over the years due to small business.
The company should consider undergoing rebranding of the name due to selling factors for sub-contractors.
No room for movement into other roles or for promotions.
Management constantly and consistently asks you to work on paid holidays and weekend. No work/life balance and no incentives or limited incentives on working extra hours that you are not paid for.
Cons
All the above

There is no typical day at work. This is an ever changing environment full of challenges. The most enjoyable part of the job is to provide solutions.

Finding solutions to technical problems

Management is generally supportive, as are co-workers

Finding solutions to technical problems is both the hardest part of the job and the most enjoyable part of the job

Great family company
Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Colorado Springs, COJuly 10, 2015
ISYS Technologies is a great place to work. The PM's truly care for each and every person on their team. It is just tough for them being such a small business that there is little room for growth and if your position on a contract gets cut there is not much they can do except lay you off.
Pros
Great place to work
Cons
Benefits are not the greatest

Great subcontractor to work for.
Cybersecurity Engineer (Former Employee) –  Colorado SpringsFebruary 24, 2015
Another great company to work for. Normally management would let you do your job, however, ISYS was a subcontractor with Lockheed Martin which has a lousy way of managing people, very dictatorial. Customer, Schriever AFB, could do no wrong and was not managing their networks securely.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Management had no say on project direction.
