In my typical office day, I was responsible for creating and organizing files of current and future residents, I was responsible for giving tours and information about the property and amenities, I was also responsible for answering phones, making follow up calls, and attending to current residents as they came into the office.
I learned a great deal of customer service and fair housing laws. I learned that I enjoy marketing and being involved in housing fairs and speaking to people about housing. I would say marketing and giving tours to prospects was the most enjoyable part of the job. I found that making the customer happy and comfortable with the property came naturally to me and was something I also enjoyed. I also loved the staff I worked with, which made the day so much more enjoyable and easy.
