A horrid, time consuming dead end job
Machine Operator (Former Employee) –  Hamburg, PA 19526June 14, 2018
Not only were the 12 hour shifts time consuming, the manager there was an extremely unpleasant nag that aggressively pushed people into operating the machines at ever-increasing faster rates. That, & the hourly quotas (making X pieces of mail per hour) were too fast for the average worker. As for breaks, they wanted you to spend the last minute walking back to the station, or else you got punished. It took 2 minutes typically to reach the lunchroom, so you had to eat your food fairly fast.

Good summer job for a college student
Operator Assistance (Former Employee) –  Warminster, PA 18974June 13, 2018
Come in eat breakfast then get right to work. One 30 minute break for lunch. Recommend taking the early shift. Some busy days and some slow days. Be ready to sit around with not much to do.

Manufacturing Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Chanhassen, MNMarch 26, 2018
Fair to employees. EE's work at a brisk pace with light interaction with management as long as work is performed well. Employees can make decisions regarding best practices to produce product and have good support as a rule.
Pros
clean environment
Cons
Overtime can sometimes be excessive but not a dealbreaker.

Hard Work
Machine Operator (Current Employee) –  Hamburg, PAJanuary 31, 2018
Iwco wants high count machine numbers, constantly tries to make employees do more work, for no more pay. 12 hours are physically overwhelming. Works on 3 and 4 day rotations. 4 days are the hardest. Management is not fair to employees. They constantly promote and reward favorite employees. Even if you are one of their hardest workers, if you do not kiss the right butt, you wont advance. If you call off of working, even if its not on a regular basses, they will punish you by putting you on the hardest machine when you return.

Third Shift Factory Job
Machine Operator (Current Employee) –  Hamburg, PAJanuary 6, 2018
I sit and watch print quality on a Inkjet machine. I go to different departments to help with numbers when there is not enough people in other departments. I currently work in the department Inkjet where i would work on Sitex, 3900 and laser printing machines. In other departments I do every 1/2 hour quality checks on folding machines and inserting machines.
Pros
3 breaks from long hour shift
Cons
Work can be tedious and can hurt joins, long standing hours

Machine Operator (Former Employee) –  Hamburg, PAJanuary 6, 2018
IWCO was a good place to work. They pay was decent. The health insurance was great. The management were quick to help and they also gave recognition when it was deserved. 12 hour shifts were a little hard to get used to at first but the days off were worth it. They helped me out a lot with personal issues. I would definitely recommend them.

The company was a team environment workplace. The management was okay depended which supervisor you had and how hard you worked. The hardest part of the job is really the 12 hours or working more harder at night and was schedule sometimes 4 days in a row. the most enjoyable part of the job is having fun and getting along with your coworkers.
Pros
friendly coworkers working together
